The story starts out as a boy named Erick. He was different from the other kids, he was a living myth. He has magic, magic that you cannot even imagine. The most powerful magic that can do anything, but he denied it. Generations after generations two thousand years have passed, and now there are more than a billion people that have the same thing in common, they all have magic. If you ask, there are some really bad people and some really good people.
One of those people is named Fred. Fred was walking through a field with really tall grass, as tall as a fully grown man. When he was about 10 miles into the grass, he stumbled down a hill. He has stumbled into a kingdom that he never even knew was there. He thought it was just an ordinary kingdom at first. But then he saw the floating baskets with fruit, books, and much more. He wondered how the people were doing that.
Finally someone visited him. Luckily for him it was the King's friend. He had a grayish beard that was about two or three inches long, and wrinkles below his eyes. He looked like he was in his fifty's or sixty's. The man asked, "What's your name son?"
"Fred, what is yours?" Fred replied.
"Daniel, I was named after my great pa. Let's go sit down and have some tea shall we?" he said.
"Sounds good!"
As they walked upward about 30 feet they encountered an average house on about one and a half acres. Daniel had a garden in the front of his house that was pretty big, about three meters wide. As they sat down they began to talk.
"Do you have any questions to ask me?" Daniel asked.
"Yes, I do! How were the baskets floating? How did you know I was coming?" Fred replied.
"The fist question is easy, how were the baskets floating, well it's because the people I this kingdom are all warlocks and witches. We can give a spell to the baskets and make them float and send messages or food to one another. Now for your second question, "how did you know I was coming?" I actually didn't, no one did. The only way for you to come into our kingdom is if you're a warlock or a witch."
"That means I'm a warlock? I never knew, my parents never told me. . . Is there something that my parents are keeping secretly from me? It must be important. I have to go back to my home and find out."
Daniel said in a stern but worried voice, "No! There are new dangers out there; if you go out I have a feeling you are going to get killed!"
"Trust me I won't, I'll be back."
"No!"
Fred still went up the hill and ran as fast as he could to his house. When he came out of the kingdom it was turning into dusk. By the time he got to his house it was dark. His parents weren't there. "Mom, dad where are you?! I'm not playing come on!" Fred exclaimed. He found his mom on the couch along with his dad, both dead with major incisions across their bodies to where they almost looked unrecognizable. Fred panicked and thought about what Daniel said, "I have a feeling that you're going to get killed." When Fred went outside, it looked like it was day, But really it was his vision that turned into day instead of night.
When he ran to go back to the kingdom, there was a terrible looking creature. It's body looked like a small, round, green ball, with tall fat legs. Spikes on it's back, two round eyes, with a huge mouth and sharp teeth. Fred put his arms in front of his face and there was a shield blocking the creature from eating him. He didn't know how it happened. He was still in shock from finding his parent's dead. He ran towards the kingdom. When he went into the kingdom he stumbled again at the same place he stumbled the first time. Fred went to the first person he saw and asked, "where is Daniel."
The person then answered his question, "He's in his house."
"Thanks."
Fred's eye sight turned back to normal. He ran to Daniels house. He barged in without knocking.
Fred told Daniel, "I have some questions that you need to answer. Why are my parents dead?! What was the creature after, why did my eye sight change, and how was it dusk when I got out of the kingdom, because I came here in the morning."
Daniel looking distrut replied, "I'm really sorry that your parents are dead. The creature that was after you are called Yifden, it probably is the thing that killed your parents. I'm not really sure how your eye sight changed but the books I have read said that when a warlock's eye sight changes that they are a really powerful wizard."
"One more thing I forgot to ask you, when I put my arms in front of my face, when I the creature was chasing after me there was a shield that blocked the creature from getting me."
"Let me answer that other question first, when you're in the kingdom boundaries time in the outside world goes 4 times faster. You were gone for 40 minutes in the outside world when you have only been gone for 10 minutes here. As for the shield, you can summon one anytime you are frightened. Because of your parents dying and the creature being after you, you need to learn how to use your powers, before you go mad."
"I have no family bow and you're a great teacher, one that can teach me to be a great warlock. Besides, I don't have any where else to stay. I think you know what I'm talking about. Please think about it."
So Daniel thought about it and invited Fred back to his house with a message tapes on his wooden door and it says, "Well if you see this note, I'll be up in the palace, p.s. Sorry for the long walk."
Fred was thinking to himself, "Why is he in the palace? Does he have a surprise for me? Is he already going to teach me magic?
Poor young Fred, as soon as he turned away heading to the palace the wind from his body gently moved the paper that was balance on the door handle. It fell, when it turned over on the back of the note it read, "No! It's a trap! Don't go in there! Evil witches and warlocks came in secretly and took over the palace!"
Someone saw the note when they were walking by. But he just left it there. While Fred is going to the palace not knowing what's going to happen, the man who saw the page went to his house with his wife and two children, one boy and one girl. The brother and sister didn't really get along that well; they were pulling each other's hair, mocking each other, and tattle telling on one another. The father kissed his wife on the cheek, took his bow, and left.
