I could easily sense the disappointment from Dororo as she lets out a sigh due to the fact that, like she predicted, our little cash left would only last us two more days. It was inevitable that we were going to run out of money soon, but who will be pleased by that. I obviously won't be. I am quite used to living a smooth sailing life when it comes to getting my basic needs – my parents providing for their still underage children.

I have to say that money and food is difficult in this era, especially for those who were like Dororo and Hyakkimaru – travellers who have no place to stay. Furthermore, their only chance to earn money is through committing dangerous jobs, which mainly involves killing off monsters or ayakashi, as what the people here would call.

Let's say that it was both misfortune and good luck that we didn't encounter any of the demons in this world. It was a tribulation for us since it resulted to our lack of cash and food. On the contrary, it was fortunate, especially for me, since this lessened the chance of any of us dying – and by us, I meant the teenager whose athletic skills are that of a grade-schooler.

Sluggishly pulling my feet to follow Dororo and Hyakkimaru, I let out a low grumble as I slumped my shoulders in a tired manner. It wasn't rare to see me in this state during my stay in this world – to be precise, you would find me in this certain condition every time a compulsory marathon is held in our school and when there's PE.

"Dororo, I'm hungry." I complained with a loud groan, my stomach producing an unfeminine growl as to add emphasis to my claim. "Hear that; that's what you call suffering."

"You're seriously not used to this type of lifestyle, aren't you, Onee-san?" Dororo declared, the way she spelled the words out sounded more as if it was a statement than an inquiry. She wasn't far off anyways. "Just what type of life were you living until you joined us?"

I honestly preferred avoiding these types of questions, those prying to my personal life. I wasn't much of a fan of lying, like what I had implied from the third chapter of this mediocre story. Nonetheless, if I were to speak of the truth, it was easy to assume that these two would find it hard to believe me. And, that's the last thing I want if I need to earn their trust.

"I lived a simple life." I answered quite vaguely, but technically, I wasn't lying. However, I still found it difficult to look any of the two in the eye as I was telling so. "I'll admit that I'm not used to this type of life. To put things in simpler terms, let's just say I used to live quite a smooth sailing."

There's a difference between a lie and a bluff. Currently, I have to say that I'm bluffing and not lying. To distinguish them from each other, lying means stating a falsehood, a statement that is not true. On the other hand, bluffing simply means bending the truth a bit which involves removing or adding details to your satisfaction.

But, of course, it's not great to perform these two practices. Deceiving people is still deceiving. And no shit Sherlock, that's as obvious as your inevitable death.

"In other words, you're used to being treated like a princess." Dororo stated bluntly, earning him a glower from me to which didn't sway her at all, shrugging her shoulders apathetically at the matter.

I was offended, because in truth, I don't live a princess's life. You can even go back to the first chapter to check. If you happen to go back, I have to tell that your comprehension skills are terrible to put it sweetly. Or perhaps, you're just too lazy to read every detail in this story.

"I guess that explains why you're such a pain in the butt, a whiny brat at that." The raven haired child added. I can't deny her accusation though. I pursed my lips in straight line after she had made a pretty good point. I knew that if I tried retorting to her comment, it could easily backfire.
