Lena's pov

I'm trying to do some work for L-Corp, but I really can't. The woman I love is hurt or even dea- no she can't be. I'm sitting on my chair covering my face with my hands „please kara, you're stronger than this" I say to myself

I lift my head just to see eve standing in front of me, she's looking at me and I don't wanna know what she's thinking about me right now- she has never seen me like this before
„Le- Ms luthor, is everything alright? She says walking over to my desk.
I stand up to get some scotch and no- i won't get myself drunk. „Oh come on eve you can call me Lena, and yes thanks for asking but I'm alright.

She smiles looking into my eyes as if she was looking for an answer in them
„But Ms- Lena, you did'nt seem to be calm when you talked about supergirl and not knowing if she's„ my face snapped up to face her closely,trying to be calm „don't say that, eve. Of course I'm not good with the fact that my hero- our hero is hurt. nobody is. but I can deal with that by myself"

She smiles, watching me while I sit back down.
Now she laughs, making me mad
„what's so funny?!" I basically shout at her. She's laughing at the love of my life being hurt or even dead, Im painfully close to firing her right now.
She leans over my desk and there's this evil look in her eyes. „oh it's just, why would a luthor care about supergirl's health? aren't you supposed to well, kill her?" she smiles, an unexpected hint of evil in her eyes.
„You don't know anything about me. I'm not Lex. I would never hurt her, i'd rather die than be like him!" I shout, putting my hands on the table, ready to stand up.

Eve is still smiling "but you do hate her" I rise a brow at her, getting up
„I could never. I know you shouldn't care but I really lo- like supergirl.
And you eve, get out before I make you lose your job." she walks out the room really quick, causing me to smile.
I hear my phone ringing and I rush to it just to see that Alex is calling so I pick up immediately, not losing a second.
She sounds worried, great.

„Lena?" something's clearly wrong „Alex? Is everything alright?" I'm getting kinda worried „it's Kara..please come to the DEO" she says, ending the call „eve! Cancel all my meetings, no calls either! yI'm going out!"
My Kara...please be okay.

This time I'm driving on my own, a taxi would've been too slow. I drive fast, too fast actually but I don't care about that, all I care about is that I need kara safe in my arms.
I nearly drive into another car and i see it like a picture in my mind, Kara laying on the ground, dead.
Now im gonna be driving even faster.

-At the DEO-
I started sprinting right after I asked someone where supergirl is. „When did you do this? Why? And h-how?" I hear Alex' broken voice and now I see them, my body froze.
Tears now rushing down my face. she's there, barely keeping herself awake.
Wounds covering her body, she looks broken.
I run over to her, pulling her in a maybe too tight hug „kara! You're alive, thank god" I sob into her arms, glad that she's alive.

Now I see what Alex meant, I let out a gasp, seeing all the lines covering her stomach,scars. „Oh my- kara!" I cry pulling her back into my arms
„I'm so sorry" she says lifting her head
„Kara, how?" Alex asks standing in front of us while I take Kara's hand in mine. „A kryptonite knife" she's whispering, „what?!" me and Alex are both shouting at this point „this could kill you!" Alex shouts, now leaving the room. „Why are you doing this to yourself?" I ask. she looks down „because I'm a failure" her voice sounds sad. I can't hold back my feelings „Kara Danvers listen to me, you're amazing Please Don't take yourself away from me because that's what could've happened" i hold back a sob, the broken look in her eyes eating me alive.
I get up „I'll get you some food, you need it.  and after that I won't leave you. Ever again." I say while turning around.
Kara takes my hand, pulling it so I fall on top of her, wrapping her arms around me „please don't go, stay with me" she begs
She's so adorable i cant say no to her, even after everything. „fine, but tomorrow we're gonna talk about absolutely everything and we're gonna eat something together" I listen to her a little weak but steady heartbeat, it's calming me. "I love you" she says tired before falling asleep, it must have been a really tough day „I love you more" I hold her as close as possible, listening to her heartbeat before falling asleep on the love of my life. „please don't do this again, you're my universe" was the last thing I said before falling asleep.
