Chapter 11

The Test

The test was 5 minutes away, if I said I wasn't nervous then I'd be lying. The sole purpose of me being transported to this world was to enjoy my life, what would happen if I failed and was forced to do odd jobs for a living?

"Ahem. Eh~ Everyone the test to see whether or not you are qualified to become an adventurer shall be commencing in 5 minutes. In the meantime please do not leave the arena, we will now be taking roll calls to see who is not present"

The one that was announcing the announcement just now, surprisingly, wasn't the headmaster, but Aldo.

I can see why the student council would replace the headmaster in the announcement, but why Aldo, Eim is here too isn't she..?

The student council members asked us to line up per class so they can easily take roll call. In total there were 150 of us, split into 5 different classes, I obviously listened to their command and line up as told, with Orfia standing in front of the line and Tero standing behind me.

After roll calls were done we were informed of the test and how it would be executed.

"Unfortunately there were 4 students that couldn't make it so they will be tested in a later date, but right now I will announce how this test will work. In short, this test is a tournament, each of you will be paired up against each other and fight it out, but rest assured, if things got a bit out of hand we, the student council, will intervene and stop the match. We may call this a tournament, however, it will not depend if you lose or win, in other words, we're only going to judge you based on your performance, not the results. The losers have a chance to pass and get their adventurer card, and the winner can also fail and not get their adventurer card"

Fight it out?  And what's with this many spectators? Is this one of those old style colosseum matches? Well, we are fighting in a colosseum so I guess it is to be expected.

"Now we shall announce the matches of this test"

After he said that, a female student council member put down a scroll with a magic circle drawn on it and suddenly a huge board appeared with the names of 150 people on it.

"So this is summoning magic, I wonder what kinds of mana you mix together to get this..."

I mumbled to myself in awe, and it looks like Tero heard me

"Yep, and with using a scroll she doesn't have to waste time with the process"

I'm always amazed whenever something new happened before my eyes. This world is really filled with surprises.I

"The arena is big enough to hold 5 matches simultaneously, so the first 10 contestants please get ready"

I checked the giant wooden board and saw that I'm up against Puer from class - C

"Puer? Who's that?"

I looked to Teros who was beside me

"Who knows? I don't know many people from the other classes"

If we don't know him then that means he doesn't have a skill that's worth attention

I thought, then continued to examine the wooden board once more.

"Hmm... Teros is up against Ella from class - D, and Orfia is..."

Eh? I don't see Orfia's name on the board

"Teros, I don't see Orfia's name"

"Me neither, is she so powerful that the academy just automatically let her pass?"
