Chapter Four: Competition

After a long and sleepless night, morning has arrived. Which means Doc has to get to the Circus to work. Doc sits up and thinks about calling in sick. He picks up his phone and is about to call G0Z when he stops. No, I can't let my feelings get in the way of my work. Doc sets his phone down and begins getting ready for the day.

Time Skip 

Doc takes a deep breath before walking into the Circus. It'll be fine! Everything is fine. Doc kept telling himself. Doc walks into the Circus and heads for his booth. On his way to his booth he sees G0Z and Albert walking together. He watches them for a moment before turning away. Why is he still here? 

Doc goes to walk away when he hears, "Doccy!" 

G0Z is making his way over to Doc and Albert is trailing behind. Doc smiles awkwardly "Hi G0Z"

G0Z asks, "Did you like the game night yesterday?" 

"huh? Oh! Yeah it was alright." Doc answers. It was perfectly fine until Albert showed up. 

G0Z gets a big smile on his face, "Yay!"

Doc lets out a chuckle and G0Z grins "Doccy you should laugh more! Your laugh is so cute!" Doc feels his face heating up and gets flustered "o-oh" is all Doc could squeak out. Doc looks away from G0Z and his eyes fall onto Albert, who seems slightly annoyed that G0Z is complementing him. Looks like he doesn't like me. 

Albert speaks up "Shouldn't you be getting to your booth?"

"I was just on my way there when you guys stopped me" Doc responds while glaring at Albert.

"Well don't let us stop you from working" Albert says.

G0Z responds "Oh it's fine Mr.FlimFlam! Doccy here always does such a good job working that being a few minutes late is fine!" 

Albert looks annoyed but smiles "Okay G0Z!" 

Doc looks at his watch and says "I should probably get going"

Albert answers "good... I mean Okay have fun working!" 

G0Z says "Maybe after your shift we could hangout?" 

Doc smiles and nods, "Okay!"

Albert chimes in "Could I come too G0Z?"

G0Z looks down at Albert, "Sure! The more people the more fun!"

Albert shoots Doc a glare and Doc returns it before turning to walk away. "I'll see you guys later then!" Doc says as he walks away. 

Doc gets to his booth and sits down. Looks like I have competition since Albert also clearly likes G0Z. 

The day goes slowly since hardly anyone came to the circus today. At the end of Docs shift he heads over to G0Z's office. When Doc gets there he sees G0Z and Albert waiting for him. 

"Hey Doccy! Ya ready?" G0Z asks 

"Yup! So what do you want to do?" Doc questions

"Hmm. Well you've been sitting all day so how about we walk around Sigillaria's forest?" G0Z answers.

"Okay!" Doc says.

The three of them start walking over to Sigillaria's forest. "Sooo Doc," Albert says, "What do you do at the Circus?" 

"Well" Doc starts "I own a game booth"

"Well Duh but like other than that." Albert responds

Doc gives Albert a confused look. "Nevermind" Albert says annoyed. 

The three of them reach Sigillaria's forest. "I have never been here" Doc says while looking down the path into the forest. 

G0Z smiles, "Well! The forest is really beautiful!"
