Melissa's POV I woke up to the cries of my 15 month old baby. I walked over to the playpen getting her out while looking to the left side of the bed. It was empty but why would I be surprised.
My husband and I's relationship is flawed and I don't have the motivation to fix it any more. Cory and I met in high school and became in love soon after meeting him. At the age of 19 I found out I was pregnant and the first thing his parents made us do was get married. My parents were obviously disappointed but agreed with Cory's parents.
At first it was a fairytale but after Ella was born he started becoming more busy and less active in our lives. Ella is the only thing keeping me and our relationship together. My thoughts were interrupted by the door closing.
Cory walked into the room giving me the side eye while taking off his suite. I could smell the perfume and liquor from a mile away and the sleep deprivation and frustration was getting to me. "Where have you been?"
"I went out with the boys after we won the case." Cory said while getting in bed. I laid down next to him and saw the scratches on his back. I felt tears come to my eyes but soon laid down and want to sleep.
