-Jungkook POV-

It's been almost a month since I've been a teenager. To tell you that I'm having fun wouldn't be a lie, but I do hate the fact that exam season is just around the corner.

"Do we have to study!" I hear Taehyung say as he pouts, leaning onto Jimin for support. "None of this makes sense. It's all so confusing!"

"And, that is exactly why we are studying, Taehyung!" Jimin exclaims, pushing his friend to the side as he continues to mark our little practice tests. We're here at Taehyung's house getting ready for the upcoming exams, and I have to say, Jimin is really good at teaching. But alas, I'm as confused as Taehyung with these subjects.

I groan in frustration, tangling my hair in a mess as I sigh in defeat. "How am I supposed to answer this?!"

Jimin then scooches over so that he can help me. My nose accidentally brushes against his hair, a sweet smell of peaches flooding my nostrils. I take a few quiet whiffs of it before listening to what Jimin has to say.

"Look here, Kookie." I hum at the recent nickname he's been using with me. I surprisingly like the sound of it. "It says to subtract ten from this number, then to round it to the nearest whole number." I nod, now understanding the question.

"It's actually quite simple," he says with a smile as I glare at him.

"Says the smart kid, obviously," Taehyung scoffs as I agree with him one hundred percent. Jimin is probably the brains in this trio that we have, and where some questions may seem easy for him, others may see as some foreign language.

"Woah, Jimin, did you change your shampoo?" I hear Taehyung say as the shorter blushes, nodding. "It smells nice, but why change it?"

"For r-reasons," he says averting his eyes as Taehyung looks at him with a smug smirk. What is up with these two?

"Hey, it's getting quite dark, Jiminie. Maybe it's time to pack up for the day," Taehyung says with a cheeky grin, knowing that he can escape from studying for awhile. But, even though I know I should be happy too, I feel a light pull at my heart when I hear Taehyung call Jimin with a nickname. Something about it makes me not like it one bit, but I quickly forget about that thought, standing up to give Jimin a hand at cleaning up.

We soon pack up our things, and slide our shoes on, getting ready to leave the house. The two of us bid farewell to Taehyung as I start walking Jimin home.

"It's fine, Jungkook," the blonde haired boy says in a hushed tone, cheeks a slight hue of pink. "I can walk home by myself."

"No, I insist," I say, grinning. "My house is that way as well, so it's really not a big deal." Though my house is actually in the opposite direction, I like walking Jimin home. It lets me know that the smaller boy is safe, and not in some dark alleyway, being threatened by thugs.

Suddenly, both Jimin and I turn our heads, hearing someone scream in the distance. The both of us quickly run over to the scene.

"Help!" the woman shouts as she tries to take her bag away from a man in his late thirties.

"Stop right there!" I shout to the man as I punch

him in the jaw. I then twist his arm behind him and force him to face the ground, the man screaming in pain as I tighten my grip. "Jimin, go call the police!" I say as he just nods and does what I say.

I accidentally loosen my grip, just enough so that the culprit is able to punch me in the face. I shout in pain as he throws another to my stomach. I drop to the ground, my body limp as the man keeps kicking and punching me. I can hear Jimin cry out for help as sirens can be heard not too far from here. But, when the police finally catch the culprit, I blackout.

I soon wake up in a hospital, bandages wrapped all around me, and an IV stuck up my arm. Jimin is seated right next to me, sleeping peacefully as he holds my hand tightly in his. I can see his eyes are red and swollen from crying and it makes my heart ache knowing how worried he must have been.

"Hey, kid, good job out there saving that lady," a police officer says, leaning on the doorframe to the room. "Take it easy, okay? And, next time, just leave it for the police to handle." I nod as he leaves the room, another man frantically running inside to see me.

"Mr. Jeon, are you okay?!" Seokjin says as he checks to see if all of my vitals are working.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine, Seokjin. Absolutely perfect—" I start coughing as he quickly comes to my side, a worried expression on his face.

"Why don't you take some days off of school, hmm?" he says as I just nod weakly. "I heard from the doctor that you'll be just fine, but you've got a few of your ribs fractured. So, staying at the hospital for a while is a must." I nod, not saying anything to conserve my throat.

"Is this the friend you were talking about?" he asks, smiling at the cute boy holding my hand. "He seemed quite worried if you'd make it or not. He was crying so hard saying he didn't want to lose you." I blush at what the older has to say. Was Jimin really that worried about me?

"Well, get some rest. I'll visit you again tomorrow." I wave goodbye as I rest my eyes, falling into a deep slumber, still holding onto the blonde haired boy's hand.

-Jimin POV-

I wake up, yawning as I stretch out my arms before realizing that I'm holding someone's hand. I slightly jump in shock as I let go of the hand, letting it rest limp on the edge of the ivory hospital bed. I then realize that the bigger hand belongs to Jungkook, and I flush a deep red before placing his hand comfortably on his stomach. He actually looks cute, I think to myself as I move a few strands of hair out of his eyes. But then, his hand grabs my wrist, firmly yet gently, pulling me towards his chest as he wraps me in his warm arms.

"Jimin-ssi, is that you?" he asks, slurring his words as he's still half-asleep. I can feel my face start to heat up as I try respond back to him, failing to do so as I can't think straight. I just nod, hearing him sigh contently, tightening his hold.

"Good morning, my Mochi." I blush at the name, slowly trying to wiggle out of his embrace. He only tightens his grip even more, having zero space between us anymore.

"No, no, don't go yet," he begs softly as I giggle at his cuteness.

"Okay, Kookie," I say with a genuine smile, lightly brushing my fingers through his hair as he smiles back, eyes still closed.

"Am I interrupting something?" I hear a voice say as I widen my eyes, quickly distancing myself from the other as I stand up awkwardly.

"N-no, you weren't interrupting anything," I say towards my best friend who is staring at me with a smug smirk. Damn you, Taehyung.

He shrugs, smiling sheepishly. "Okay, then. If that's what you're gonna say."

"Oh, hey Taehyung!" Jungkook exclaims as the dark haired boy rushes over to hug the other.

"Are you feeling okay? I heard what happened, and I almost had a heart attack knowing that one of my best friends were in a life or death situation!" the younger says, carefully placing his hands on the other's shoulders.

The older laughs before nodding his head. "I feel just fine, Taehyung." The other sighs, relief washing over him as he's finally able to relax.

"Well, that's good," Taehyung says, letting go of the embrace, thankfully. "I'll be taking Jimin with me now, since we've both got school to go to today."

"Okay then, talk to you two later!" We wave goodbye as Jungkook does the same, and soon we leave the room, closing its door behind us.

"So, Jimin," Taehyung says in a questioning manner, acting smug. "Was it really nothing that you guys did?"

"Oh my God, Taehyung! I already told you that nothing happened between us!" I say in a defending manner.

"Uh-huh, sure. Let's go with that." I smack my best friend on the shoulder as he just laughs mischievously.
