"Really? What was your daddy again?" she squeaked and tilted her head to the side.

"My daddy? He is a king! He serves the people!" he raised his hands up the air with enthusiasm.

"Wah. So you'll be a king someday too?" her eyes sparkled with admiration and he smiled proudly. "Yes! My mommy also told me that when I become a king, I'll also have a queen. And I want a queen just like mommy." he paused for a minute and looked at her with a wide cute smile plastered in his features.

"Just like you!"

"Tell me your secrets Y/N." he turned around and faced her with a stern expression. "Your a queen but I know you have secrets. Just like me."

She looked down and hesitated, not sure whether to tell him or not.

"Tell me Y/N. And answer me,"

"Why are your eyes not shining like how they do before?"

She looked up and decided to finally tell him,

"Because back then, he was still mine."

"Now, tell me your secrets" she looked up and looked at her with a stern face just like his earlier.

"I never loved her. I never will. She was the queen to all my people. But she was never my queen."

"Court Lady Song, do you notice the closeness between the king and concubine choi?"

"Yes, Your highness. Rumors are also spreading that the king might turn her to a consort." she explained and sighed. "She has been seen with the king quite often now."

I nodded and turned around, tears welling up my eyes as pain took over all my emotions. The way he looked at her. It was full of love. Just like how he looked at me before.

Maybe more than before.

"Why are you still awake?" a voice asked and she knew well who the owner was. "And why are you still here?" he continued.

"I should be the on asking you that yoongi. Why are you still here in busan?"

"I want to stay here for the meantime. Maybe help you and taehyung in all your problems" he shrugged and looked up, hands crossed and lips in a slight pout. "The stars are mesmerizing, isn't it?"

She didn't respond and instead, she turned around upon hearing light steps. Her eyes widened a bit upon seeing the king. She moved away and accidentally, she had stumbled upon a chest. Loosing her balance, she closed her eyes, ready for the heavy impact, but when nothing came, her eyes fluttered open.

And she was met with a pale face. Eyes looking down at her and lips pursed. He had his arms around me protectively. I stood up upon realizing in what situation we were.

"I'm sorry for being such a clumsy lady," I apologized and bowed down. A hand then held my shoulder and I flinched, looking behind. My shoulders fell as I relaxed, seeing the king's face.

"Why are you both still here, outside?" I looked down. "For fresh air." I turned around and attempted to go inside but was stopped by a hand wrapping around my wrist. I looked at it and it's owner. I raised my eyebrows and tilted my head to the side.

"Where are you going?" I removed his grip from my wrist and snapped, "Inside, obviously."
