Chapter Three

I was floating in the portal as I was transferred to a long, long tube. I was dropped down at my house. As I entered my mansion, I was amazed. I really couldn't believe that I would really have the chance to live in my mansion. For a moment, I felt proud.
I lay on my huge bed and stared at the ceiling.
"How can I sleep? There's no button here..."
I pulled the covers on me and closed my eyes.
When I opened my eyes the next second, it was morning already! I felt energised and I exited the game.
Back on the homepage, I surveyed the game tab and looked around.
"Hmm... there are so many games that requires fighting... some of the games are lagging a lot like Bubblegum Simulator(no offence but I often get stuck and had to reset). And some games need to die to change the outfits..."
"Whatcha thinking Mia? I know there are a lot of games that probably makes us die unwillingly, but we can avoid that by these."
He held up a box filled with balls. "These—are force fields and once you put them on, you will be protected. Unless, the opponent has body-switch gear and switch himself to be you, otherwise, you would be safe for some time."
"What do you mean by some time? Aren't these available forever?" I tilted my head to a side.
"Unfortunately no, actually the force fields can only last for an hour. Once the countdown ends, your force field's gonna disappear. And back into the supply box."
