I sometimes feel like winter is hanging over my head as I walk.  The silence can be deafening and the clouds... The clouds are so dark and gloomy. I tend to go unnoticed during these times as I ignore almost every sound,  every person and every thought.  I can't help it so I seem like a bit of an asshole when you meet me.

Today is one of those days so I just keep walking along with the teacher, ignoring everyone around me. I think People don't stand out like they say. People don't shine like diamonds when you're meant to know them. They slot right into your life like a missing piece or they force their way in until they fit.

When you are like me, no one tries to make their space in your puzzle. Trust me people, you don't want to be part of this mess I am warning you now. So I keep forgetting to care or be kind and as I walk kids already look like they are not to keen on me.

I don't know how to fit in anymore because as my favourite book/movie says "because things change and friends leave, life doesn't stop for anyone". And it's true because things do change and friends leave me eventually for better people. When I wake up from my day dream a kid keeps looking at me with these wide blue eyes.  I don't know what to do so I half smile and place everything ocd style in my locker.

When he doesn't stop looking I walk over and say "I'm really not that great but thanks for drewling over me". He snaps out of it and I walk back to my locker. When he approaches me I smile and say "does your locker look like someone threw up the 80's on it? " He responds with "no, but it is ugly on the inside so that makes up for it." "Too bad, the 80's seemed awesome, I guess I'm just cooler than you." "Guess so." he says smugly and I laugh. Well more of a giggle but still a laugh.

"What did the devil catch you for?" he asked jokingly. "Hey, this school might suck but I did nothing at all to get here other than be born. " "Riiiiiiiiight,  you did nothing? Nothing at all? "   " I swear nothing."
He shoves me and slam my locker door and say  "Aurora Jane, that's my name. "
"Nice to meet you aurora,  I'm Asher,  Asher Griffith. "
