"Well Asher Griffith, I think you might just be the first person I've met so far....who isn't a twat"
" Well I'm not sure whether I should be offended or honoured miss Aurora Jane."
"Definitely honoured, I'm a bit of an asshole so you must be special."
"Ok then." he says with a smile I can't resist.
" I'll see you round aurora Jane, remember to be cautious with who you trust."
"I will.... This school isn't that bad!"
"I wouldn't be too sure about that if I were you." He says as he fades away into the other uniforms.
His voice hangs in the air even after he's miles away and so does the dying light in his eyes. I wonder what happened to him to make him that transparent. The lock clicks into place and I don't think as I get up hitting my head on the locker above mine. I hold in tears, not of pain but laughter (I'm a sucker for slapstick humour).
I stumble into class and to my surprise, there he is Mr Asher Griffith with those big blue dying eyes.
" ahh, you are brave enough to stay". He says with a smirk.
I roll my eyes and shove him like he did me.
"Come sit on this useless plastic chair with me Rory." he says and I look horrified with his nickname.
"Rory?, are you suffering from early on set dementia or something sinister" I ask crudely
"Why I take that to heart miss Jane, I thought the name was cute?"
"If cute is the kind of word that makes you question a person's intellectual ability, then yes I agree."
"Hey I see your practising for your time in hell! And just so you know I'd root for you in a fight against good old Lucifer."
"Would you build me my own personal staircase? Or will I be dragged in with all the rif raf?
"Well, I'd build you a slide for your grand entrance." he says with a grin on his face.
"I'd like that." is all I can say before I am bombarded with people wanting to meet me and he gets lost behind them.
