(Umiya's POV)
I sighed as I walked down the halls of Ouran Academy. The dance was tonight and I was quite nervous, especially because Tamaki and a few others in the host club have decided that it would be a good idea to turn into matchmakers. For four people. Yes, four.
Me being one of them.
Haruhi was the first one to tell the whole host club besides Kyoya, to my relief. I never pegged her as the matchmaker type, especially with host club members. She really wants me to get together with Kyoya who is another victim of the matchmaking plan.
I'm guessing that she is so excited because it might make Kyoya lower her debt. Actually, I know that's why she is so excited. I can read her thoughts, and they aren't all that innocent like Tamaki thinks they are.
Anyway, I am not completely against her plans, just nervous. Kyoya isn't all that bad and has good common sense. Sigh~ why must feelings be oh so complicated? On top of all this, I have to play some of the music for the dance. This is turning out to be more troublesome than I anticipated.
Back to what I was doing now. Ouran's halls were packed and everyone seemed ecstatic because of the dance. I also caught more gazes on me than usual. My mind was flooded with thoughts like, 'I want to dance with Umiya~!' or 'Kyaaa~! Umiya looks more handsome than usual! I want to dance with him later tonight!' and finally, 'TODAY WILL BE THE DAY I GET A KISS FROM MY PRECIOUS UMIYA' Yare, yare, that girl is still here? I thought she gave up a few months ago.
This was getting annoying and I wanted to shut them up. Sadly, they don't seem to have geranium rings here so that is one thing I need to add to my grocery list. I also can't make them go brain dead because that would make me end up in jail, and they don't have coffee jelly in jail.
I opened the host club's doors and instantly sighed. Kanako Kasugazaki, a girl who is seemingly addicted to looking at teacups was here. She has a host-club-hopping disease. Great, I didn't want to see her here at all. Also, she is here dancing with one of my most favorite people here. Haruhi.
She was the third person the host club was trying to matchmake and her fiance was the fourth one. I'm sure that will work out for them, but not for me or Kyoya. We are apart of a host club and they expect us to get into a relationship with each other? Absurd.
They obviously didn't consider the outcome of doing something like this. If they did, they would have never considered the idea again. But what can you expect from idiots? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
"LITTLE BROTHER!!!" Tamaki latched onto me and sobbed into my uniform. Stop, you are getting snot all over my jacket... Sigh, i'll just turn back time on it later.
"Is there something wrong, Tamaki?" I groaned. He looked up at me with his puppy dog eyes and nodded, still sniffing and tears flooding his eyes.
"Kanako became interested in Haruhi and left me~!" This is what this was about? You knew this would happen, she has the disease. You're just unlucky because she stayed with you longer and made you believe she actually cared about a douche like you.
As cruel as it sounds, she made a good decision leaving you for Haruhi. Unlike you, she actually has common sense and intelligence.
"What did you expect? It was bound to happen at some point." I deadpanned. Tamaki went into his depresso-messo state and sat in a dark corner. I groaned in annoyance and sat down in a random chair pushed against the wall that the door was on.
This annoying tea-addicted girl also went with me for a while. I, of course, didn't really care when she left me for my twin. I was glad to get rid of at least one nuisance. I am kind of upset that she is basically cheating on the person she loves who is also her fiance because it's not really the best thing to do.
I mean, you love someone? Don't get with someone else unless you know for sure that they don't have the same feelings for you. Simple. However, some people don't seem to get that and choose the hard way over the 5 minute way. It's idiotic and not something worth my time.
Also, why was Haruhi attempting to dance with her? I thought she had enough common sense to not get involved with this kind of stuff. Guess I was wrong. That is a little disappointing for me, but not completely unexpected. Besides, I still have Kyoya.
I continued to watch them dance with the occasional stumble and stepping on toes. I soon figured out that Kanako was trying to teach Haruhi how to dance so she can enjoy herself at the dance. And to also get closer to Haruhi which hopefully wasn't going to happen. The reason? She would definitely jumble Haruhi's common sense which is supposedly rare these days.
We need to pass on the common sense that can rarely be found. Also, I ship Haruhi with Tamaki and no one else. I can just imagine all the babies they have running around the mansion with common sense floating above their heads. Ah~ blissful thoughts.
"Umiya, have you prepared all the music for the dance tonight?" Kyoya approached me. I nodded since I wasn't really in the mood to speak today. Actually, I have a serious question I need to ask Kyoya. Guess I'm talking, anyways.
"Kyoya, do you think Haruhi and Tamaki would make a good couple?"
(Kyoya's POV)
"Kyoya, do you think Haruhi and Tamaki would make a good couple?" Umiya asked while staring at Haruhi and Kanako dance.
"Why do you ask that?" I followed his gaze to the dancing pair and then allowed my eyes to reach Tamaki, who was weeping pathetically in a corner of the room.
"I was just thinking, if Haruhi and Tamaki have kids, they are sure to have at least some of Haruhi's common sense, right? I would be happy to be an uncle if that were the case." He yawned a little and moved his hand over his mouth.
"Well, I do suppose that they would probably take over some of Haruhi's behavior... I'm not sure it will be that common sense factor, though." I took a seat next to him.
"I guess your right. Maybe I should find someone who only has common sense... that might work. I refuse to be an uncle if the kids don't have common sense. If they don't, I'll have to pound it into their heads that some things are better with the light of common sense." A dark aura surrounded him.
"You seem very dedicated to having nieces and nephews that have a good head on, have you ever thought of having your own children?" Children, Umiya having children. I can't really imagine that without getting a weird feeling in my chest. The thought of Umiya living the rest of his life with a wonderful woman ignites a pain in my chest.
Do I not want Umiya to have a good future? Am I that bad of a person? I knew I had a few problems when it came to kindness, but I didn't think it was this bad; Children that look so much like Umiya running around his house. Him saying good morning to his wife. It all leaves me bitter inside.
(Umiya's POV)
"I never considered the idea seriously. It would seem troublesome having to raise children." I replied.
Was he seriously thinking these things? He doesn't want me to have children with a woman? He doesn't want me waking up to someone else in my bed and greet them with a good morning? I mean, that's good because I don't want that either, but still...
Does he feel that strongly about me? He has the same emotions I do when I think about him getting together with someone besides me. His thoughts were flooding with the same emotion over and over again and it was kind of suffocating because it reminded me so much of myself. I never had this kind of feeling in my previous life nor my present life until now.
What the heck?
You know what, I don't want you waking up with anyone but me.
