Joan dialed Patton's number after discussing some more things with Roman.
"This is Patton." Joan could tell that he was trying to be happy despite his voice.
"Hey Patton. I heard the news of what happened." They said.
"It's fine. How are you doing at the shelter?"
"Don't worry about it. You need to worry about yourself. But I have some news that will help okay? Is that alright if we came over?"
"Yeah...wait...we?" Patton asked.
"Yeah, I have a friend with me. Says he knows some information on what happened."
"Okay." Patton said.
"We'll be there shortly. Goodbye." They hung up the phone. Patton looked at Logan.
"Joan?" The teacher questioned Patton nodded.
"They are coming over and bringing a friend who knows about the situation."
"How would they know about the situation?" Logan questioned.
"I'm not sure. They said they have news that will help though," Patton started crying. "He's so scared Logan. I don't know what to do."
"I know," Logan hugged back and gently rubbed Patton's back. "It's going to be okay."
It wasn't long after when the doorbell rang.
"That must be Joan," Patton wiped his eyes with his cardigan sleeve and walked towards the door.
"Hey Joan. Please come in," Patton smiled at his coworker. Logan looked at the group that had entered the living room. His eyes widened when he saw Joan's friend.
"Hello Logan." Joan said. Logan nodded to them in acknowledgement.
Patton sat next the teacher on the couch.
"I'm Roman," Joan's friend looked at the ground. "I'm really sorry about what happened."
"You're the actor from the play," Patton started crying harder. Joan went over and hugged their friend. "It was Virgil's birthday." He sobbed. Logan didn't miss the way Roman's eyes widened.
"I have the location of him," Roman whispered.
"What?" Everyone turned to Roman. "Dirk has him. In a warehouse twenty minutes from here."
"And how would you know that?" Logan asked.
"Because," Roman looked at the ground. "Because I was there." He looked at the couple. "Let me explain." He rushed out his words. "I never wanted anything like this to happen." Patton walked towards him and Roman stopped talking. "I'm sorry," He whispered. Everyone was surprised when Patton gave Roman a hug.
"Please help us get him back," Patton asked. Roman nodded and hugged back.
"I'll do everything I can," He responded.

When Roman left the warehouse Dirk walked back to where Virgil was.
"We are leaving. That traitor is probably going to the police right now." Virgil didn't say anything.
Cutting off the ropes that held Virgil down Dirk mumbled under his breath, however, he kept the cuffs on to prevent Virgil from using his powers. The cuffs were more like tightened bracelets
"Let me go," Virgil yelled trying to get away. He used all his will power to try and use his abilities and get the cuffs off but they would not budge.
"Boss. Police are on their way," Someone ran into the room. Dirk cursed under his breath and pulled Virgil towards a vehicle.
"Time to go," He muttered trying to shove Virgil into the car as the teen continued to struggle.
"Let him go," Several police men slowly surrounded the car.
"Help-" Virgil started yelling trying harder to get away. Kicking and scratching, doing anything he could to make him let go. Dirk held on tighter and clenched his teeth.
"You are surrounded! There's no place to run! Hand the child over!"
"You're...you're wrong!" Dirk yelled back. He looked around, slightly slumping his shoulders and loosening his grip. Virgil saw the defeat in the kidnapper's eyes and took the chance to escape his grip.
