"What other dangerous capabilities?" Patton asked.

"Well, when I heard he got kidnapped I started doing some research about him and his biological family."

"Did you find anything about them. When we first adopted him then nobody even knew his name." Patton responded.

"Yes, I found some interesting information about his family. His mother's name was Martha."

"Was?"

"Yes, she was killed by her husband," Picani told him. "She had the ability to erase and reorder memories. Which I found out about Virgil."

"He as that ability too?"

"Yes he just doesn't know it yet. However, he also got his father's ability. The shadows. They are the most dangerous. His biological father has killed multiple people using them."

"Multiple? He's still alive?" Patton asked.

"Yeah," Picani continued. "He's in jail, because he killed Martha. He also killed a few others, including someone named Matthew Anderson. He is the only one in our town that was supposedly killed. The reports say it was a heart attack, but some believe it wasn't."

"How do they know he killed them then?" Patton asked.

"Several witnesses all report seeing the same guy before the person was surrounded by shadows then killed after."

"Why is Matthew so important then? Why is he the only-"

"One in our town?" Picani interrupted. "He moved to this town to get away from someone, but they found him. He was killed a little over ten years ago in front of a 7 year-old child."

"Roman," Patton realized. "He told us his grandpa was killed and no one believed him."

"Yes, the exact date Matthew was killed was the same day Virgil was born just five years before."

"Virgil must look like his biological father. Roman mentioned when we first ran into him. He thought Virgil had answers he was looking for. He went to someone name Dirk."

"Dirk Dunkin. Also goes by the name Deceit."

"You know of him?"

"I've heard stories. I'm also aware of some his capabilities."

"Shape shifting?" Patton asked.

"Almost. Optical Illusions. He deceives people in what he does."

"Why did Dirk want Virgil though? Roman mentioned that Dirk had something against him."

"Dirk was in jail for a little while. I'm not exactly sure but I can guess it had something to do with Virgil's biological father."

"That's...interesting I guess..." Patton sighed. "Thanks so much for this information Emile. I'll tell it to Logan."

"I hope this clears things up. If I find anything else I'll let you know."

"Thank you."

"Also, I expect Virgil will want to come back, whenever he's ready schedule an appointment."

"Will do. Bye."

"Bye Patton." Patton hung up the phone and walked into the kitchen.

"Oh hey Logan." Patton hugged his husband. "Emile just said to make an appointment whenever Virgil's ready to go back."

"That's adequate." Logan smiled. "Glad he's back though. It was...terrifying knowing someone else had him for harmful reasons."

"Emile told me some interesting information. I'll tell you tomorrow, but for now. We need some sleep as well." Patton chuckled when Logan sighed. "Come Lo." Patton pulled him to their bedroom.

~~~~~~~~~~~'
Virgil woke up. Looking at the time he saw that it was almost five in the morning. He tried to take a deep breath.
"I'm safe. I'm safe." He mumbled to himself. His hands were pulling his hair and he tried to curl into himself more. "I'm safe."
It wasn't long before he felt the bed sink a little.
"It's okay Virgil. You're safe. You're here." Soft words were slowly spoken to him. "Take a deep breath. In 4. Hold 7. Out 8."
Patton worked with him until he was calmer.
"Tha...thanks..." Virgil muttered.
"Do you want a hug?" Patton asked and the teen nodded.
~~~~~~~~~~'

Logan woke up and looked around the room. Patton wasn't there.

'Maybe he's up already,' Logan sat up and walked to the kitchen. Patton wasn't there either. 'Where is he? Maybe Virgil knows.'

Logan walked to the teenager's room.

"Virgil?" He softly knocked on the door. Getting no answer he quietly opened the door.

Smiling he closed the door and decided to make breakfast for the other two.

Patton was asleep laying down, his arms protectively around Virgil while they both slept.

Logan got started on the pancakes.
