Jennifer's pov:

Finally. The first day of summer! I can't believe a whole school year has gone by already! And just to think I have two month's of freedom, before the start of my senior year at Seaview High.

"Oh, no!" I then become aware of the time.

"Mom, c'mon we gotta go, Mia want's to get up there before noon."

"Ok hun, let's go."

Today, the first day of fun in the sun and I've already forgotten about the trip! Well, call it a weekend getaway, my good friend Mia and I are going up to Lake Frio to kick off the start of summer. A bunch of kids from our school are heading up there for the annual camping trip, and a great time.

I quickly toss some clothes and random stuff wich I hope will be useful into a bag with some money and my swimsuit. I throw on some shoes and before I know it my mom's driving me to Mia's house.

I'm lost deep in thought of a past memory, but before I dive in further I hear someone calling my name and I'm startled from my daydream.

"Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, I wonder what goes on in that head of yours at times."

"Oh sorry mom" I say apologingly

"Pennies for your thoughts?"

I love it when she uses that quote. When I was little I used to daydream alot and my mom would always be wanting to know what I was thinking. Wow, I'm really feeling a thing of deja-vu here.

"Not really just this boy that's been on my mind today."

"Ok let me guess it's Liam, isn't it?." She say's in a questioning tone.

Ughh. I can't believe she just said that! Liam is my best friend he has been since we were five. We met the first day of kindergarten and trust me he has never been more than a friend. It's just we've known each other for so long and the thought of sacraficing our friendship for a relationship would be risky.

"Mom how many times do I have to repeat this? Liam and I are friends! Nothing more, nothing less."

"Who is it then? Sweatheart you know you can tell me anything, I'm your mother for heavens sake." She look at me expecting an answer.

"Remember when I was twelve and I almost got hit by a bus? Well Josh, well he's the one that pushed me away and saved my life." I suddenly feel a pit of sadness in my stomach. I look at my Mom with tears filling my eye's.

"On Jennifer don't cry sweetie, that boy saved your life you should be happy not sad." She pats my back and gives my hand a reashuring squeeze. But trust me my mom know's nothing of what really is between Josh and I. I owe him for what he did, and I alway's will.

All of a sudden my mind goes fuzzy and I flash back to that day five year's ago;

"Ok mom, I'm going over to Liam's house to finnish the project." I yell to my mom as I walk out the front door.

"Alright hun just be back intime for..." My mom attempted to say something to me but it was too late, I was on my way to the bus stop.

Even though Liam only lives a block down from my house I needed to get a poster board for our project on the human body. I walked to the bus stop and I was patiently waiting for the bus to arrive.

"Oh hey Jenn." I hear my name being called from a very fimiliar voice. I turn around and to my surprise,

"Oh hi Mia! What brings you here? I thought you have dance on Tuesday's?" I ask a little confused.
