My mother always said to be nice to everyone. No matter what. I promised her I would stick by her words. And I did my best patiently but I just ran out of patience.

As Meghan hit my head against the wall of the girls bathroom, I realized that.

She grabbed a fistful of my hair.

" That's for talking to Aaron. The next time you do that again, you wouldn't be this Lucky". She pulled on my hair so hard I was sure they would come out of their roots.

She left me on the floor. I was dizzy but getting up would only make it worse so I lied down and stared as the ceiling.

One if the lights was flickering and I found myself feeling sleepy I have to get up.

I grabbed hold of one of the sinks and got up which was quite painful. I looked at my reflection of myself on the mirror above the sink. blood was dripping from my forehead and it was slightly swollen.

I covered my face with my hoodie as I struggled to walk. I was dizzy and I couldn't move my left hand.

Leaning against the wall. I walked out of the bathroom to the hallway most of the students are in class but I have to go to the nurse's office.

I knocked on the door and leaned on it since I couldn't stand upright. I almost fell when the nurse opened the door but she caught me.

" Oh honey" I heard her voice say before I passed out.

I groaned when I woke up with a throbbing headache. I didn't recognize where I was at first but I saw the familiar posters about health and safety. I tried to get up but my hand hurt. My elbow particularly.

" Be careful " nurse October said and I turned to see her seated on her old mahogany desk.

" What happened" I managed to say
" You went unconscious. You hit your head pretty hard. By the way I'm going to know how this happened for the form "

" I fell down the stairs"

" Oh really? " She removed her glasses " because you've been falling down the stairs alot these days " she looked at me accusingly.

" Yeah, clumsy me " I chuckled  nervously

" Yeah... Clumsy " I sighed in relief " if there's anything you'd want to talk about I'm here "

I kept quiet and tried to get up but my elbow still hurts.

" You hit your elbow and shoulder hard just put some ice on the it and the pain will go away, you just had a small scratch on your head that's why you bled the bump will go soon ice it too. Oh and your lip is slightly swollen. Pulled ice on it too"

I nodded and managed to prop myself up with a groan.

" You don't need to go now you know "
" I'm fine. I'll leave now "

I wasn't dizzy anymore so I could walk. I used my hair to cover the bump on my head and I put my hoodie on. Everyone was at the cafeteria which meant it was lunch time.

I walked to the cafeteria and got my food. My eyes met Meghan's who was at the stereotypical ' popular table ' .  she wore a victorious smirk while I gave a Small smile which seemed to have annoyed her so I looked away.
I took my tray of food to the football field. A little bit uphill from the field was a tree where I usually have lunch. It's not like I have no friends, l just like being alone sometimes.

I slowly ate my food and after I did, I took out my phone and read a book. Time seemed to have fast forward and lunch time was over.

I went to class and the teacher wasn't even there. He probably slept off in the teacher's lounge. Ever since Mr Richardson's wife had a baby, he's been sleeping alot which doesn't seem bother the student population.
Everyone in class was either talking or on their phones.

Works for me.

I went to the back of the class where I usually seat. Which I regretted because seated in front of me were two girls who talked a lot and loudly I couldn't help but over hear their conversation.

" Did you hear Jayden Kings is coming back " the first girl, a blonde twirling her hair said.

" Oh my gosh I thought he was in jail " the other girl said.

" Yeah but he got released " she tapped her phone" Oh my gosh. He's so hot. Here's a pic of him "

" He's to die for "

" Yeah and he's a total bad boy. I'm totally gonna make him fall for me " I rolled my eyes at the comment.

" Please " the other girl replied while I zoned out.

Jayden Kings was once a student here up untill he was arrested a year ago. No one really knows why but it is rumoured that he shot his father. Messed up but, sometimes rumours are wrong. I don't understand why girls hope to date him I mean, he is good looking but he also gets into fights , barely has friends and is mean to everyone.

" Cat " a voice said bringing me out of my thoughts. I winced when I saw who it was.

" Hey Aaron " I said meekly

" I didn't see you at lunch "

" I.. I wasn't feeling well. I was at the nurse's office" I shrugged

His green eyes met mine as he searched for any sign that I might be lying and I'm guessing he found one.

" Ok. So I was wondering since I- " he couldn't finish saying when he was cut off my Meghan who also followed me.

" Aaron what are you doing here ? There's an empty seat next to me come on " she tugged on his arm.

" I guess. See you later Cat " Meghan pulled him away but not before giving me a hard glare. Boy if looks could kill.

I snuck out of the class and headed to the football field where I usually had lunch. A little further away from the field was a tall tree where I'd sit under and spend most of my lunch time. I decided to spend the rest of the day there.

I opened my phone and continued reading my book. Reading is much more than a hobby to me. I enjoy loosing myself in words and imagining I was a character in a book or wishing I was in the book. I could be reading and I would be on fire but I wouldn't realize it.

I just decided to get lost in any other world that isn't mine.
