"Morning sleepy!" My sister, Tempest said, throwing pillows at me.
"Temp! What gives?" Her stormy eyes twinkle, and a small smile plays across her lips.
"Blaise is waiting for you! Don't you remember?"
"Wha-oh my gosh! I forgot we were going for a run!" I quickly scrambled out of bed, my ink black hair a mess on top of my head. I rub the sleep out of my eyes, and rush to get ready. "Get out... I'm Changing!" I throw a pillow at Temp as I speak.
"Ok, but I think you should meet in human form." She says, dodging the pillow swiftly.
"Yeah?"
"Mhm, I'll help you pick an outfit!" Tempest began walking over to me, her long hair-white as an arctic wolf-waving behind her like a tail. Squinting her stormy gray eyes, she looked at me closely, probably using her 'Temp Sense' to pick a perfect outfit for me.
"Are you done checking me out?" I laugh
"Shush!" She laughed back, gently punching my shoulder. "Ok! Got it! Be right back, you're borrowing my clothes because these-" she motioned towards my closet, "are not for dates!"
"Hey! Don't make fun of me because I'm not girly!"
She smirked, "well that's too bad now, isn't it? Come on!" Grabbing me by the arm, she pulled me, not softly, to her room.
"Oh my gosh! Cece you look amazing!" She squealed after twenty or so minutes. "Perfect!"
"Look... I don't know. It's not really, me. I think I'd look better in a sweatshirt and jeans, and plus, we're going for a run in the park. It's probably going to get dirty and tattered."
"Ok fine, you're right. But next date you two can't go for a run. You have to go somewhere nice so you can dress up. Ok?"
"Deal... Well I better get going. He'll be here soon. I'll leave this outfit on my bed."
"Okay! Have fun Cece!" I stand up, as best as I can in my sister's fancy outfit-pinching me in all the wrong ways-and give her a hug.
"Thanks," I smile and wave as I walk back to my room, humming to myself.
After changing out of Tempest's clothes, I'm wearing a dark purple hoodie and jeans. Comfortable finally, I head downstairs to Blaise.
"Hey, Cec! You look amazing!"
"Thanks, Blaise," I say, walking over to him. He leans down and kisses my check gently. When he looks at me, it's almost like his orange eyes blaze, just like his name. I ruffle is reddish-brown hair, which is soft as his fur, and grab his hand. "Ready to go?"
He squeezes my hand back, and we walk out together.
"I love you Cece, you know that right?"
"Yeah," I say this like its the most obvious thing... Because it is.
"And we're almost eighteen now. This is when you normally begin the search for a permanent mate..."
"Blaise.."
"Cecily, will you be my mate?"
"Of course!" I smile up at him, my hand still in his. His childish grin lights up his whole freckle-covered face. His beautiful eyes twinkle, and suddenly I'm insecure about mine. Without realizing it, I cover my forest green eye with my free hand, and look down to the ground.
"What's wrong?" Blaise asks.
"It's.. Your eyes. They're so beautiful. Mine aren't even the same color.." Blaise bends down and gently kisses the hand covering my eye.
