(Stars shoot across the vast space shown on the TV. Para munches on some kind of popcorn treat as PJ pokes one chubby cheek.
"So....why are you suddenly smol?" Para flaps a tiny hand at him.
"There's a few AUs that I dunno much about~...this being one of them~." Ink plays with the created's hair.
"aww, i think it's cute!" PJ sits up to lean against the sofa stuffing.
"Just hope you change back to normal size when the lemon starts....." )

Sparks fly as the edge of the plasma blade cuts through the thick plating. The figure wore an old exploration suit, the heavy material giving no clue to the identity of the human inside. Every now and then, the sparks will stop, and the large helmet twists around to scan the area. You could never be too cautious, scavenging on the Monster side of the Barrier.

The stubborn plate finally parts, and your thick gloved hand catches a half before it floats away. Attaching it to a magnet on your belt, you sheathe the plasma knife and pop the seal of your right glove. Stripping away the thick outer protection, you reveal a second, form-fitting glove on your hand. Reaching into the now open section, you deftly search through the revealed wires.

The connections were fried, but you could do a bypass to unlock what you were really after. Some muttered curses and a shocked finger later, and a tiny line of green lights lit up one by one. You allow a victory fist grip and smile, then pull your hand back. Resealing the plate was easy enough, the plasma knife melting the outside edges together. Pushing away, you pull yourself down the pipeline to the remains of a derelict cruiser.

Cautiously, you enter through a large blast hole and inch your way to what used to be a safe room. A tiny green light now blinked from the panel next to the unsealed door. Grinning, already imagining on what the haul could do for you, your hand catches the cracked edge and nudges it open.

To the untrained eye, the scraps of paper floating around just seemed like junk. Most scavengers would be grabbing the scant jewelry floating around, or looking for precious minerals in the many metal holding compartments. But, you knew what was on those papers was worth something that couldn't be bartered like the other wealth inside.

You pop the seal of the large glove on your left hand, and let your form-fitting gloved hands get to work. Papers were gently grabbed, and laid into a flat case attached to your side. The jewelry and minerals would be coming with you as well, for you weren't stupid enough to rely solely on the historical wealth. But, you were making a mistake. So focused were you on the task at hand, you didn't realize the danger.

"find anything interesting?"

You freeze. Slowly, you turn your large helmeted head to see the monster in the doorway. The skeleton was about the same height as you, with one red eyelight glowing in the dark. His permanent grin showcased his sharp teeth, one gold canine glinting. More red covered him, from the loose sweater to his black and red pants and black boots. A single gold star hung down on a chain, glowing slightly in the center of his chest.

You shift, slowly turning to face him completely. He looks you over, taking in the large, bulky suit and helmet, your slender gloved hands, and the papers being held.

"...you aren't from around here..." He leaned against the doorframe, adopting a casual, almost lazy stance. You knew better than to let your guard down, however.
