Chapter 9: Babies..

-Two years later-

Bucky and Kinsley were sitting in doctor's office waiting room waiting to be called back. Two weeks before that day she had taken a home pregnancy test that said positive after trying for a year. They were finally able to get in with the doctor and that's what they were doing that day they both got a sub for the day.

"Kinsley Barnes." the nurse said 

They followed the nurse back and she changed into the gown they waited for the doctor to come in. A few minutes later the doctor came in "Mrs Barnes what are we doing today?' she said

"I took a home pregnancy test two weeks ago and it said positive. And I haven't had a period since September." she said 

"Well then let's get started shall we." the doctor said 

"Yeah." Kinsley laid back and the doctor did her cervical exam. 

Then she allowed Kinsley to put her underwear back on then put the gel on her stomach. They started up the ultrasound machine then they heard "BUM BUM BUM BUM" 

They both looked up on the screen. "Thats..two.. sacs.." Kinsley said 

"Twins.." Buck whispered 

"Yes twins..fraternal twins and mama looked to be about 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant. " The doctor said 

"You had to say something James.." she whispered 

"Hey all I asked if it ran in your family. I keep forgeting that Hudson and Hunter are twins." he said 

"We are due in June guys." the doctor said as she hands the ultrasounds to Bucky. 

They went by the bakery and got cake they went to the school they were dancing in his office as he spun her around they were all smiles as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and placed his hand on her stomach as he kissed her. 

"God baby I'm so happy right now..my girl my gorgeous wife carrying two tiny people that we made.' he whispered she placed her hand over his and looked over her shoulder "I love you baby..and thank you.." she said as she put her forehead against his. He smiled "Anything for you darlin." he said 

"We are here." Steve said 

They turned around to see their friends "Hey guys.." Bucky said 

"What's up you said to meet you all here." Sam said 

"Open the box on my desk" Bucky said 

Natasha walked over to the pink box and opened it up. 

"Sometimes miracles come in pairs... Barnes Twins Coming IN June" Wanda said as she read it aloud then she gasped "You are pregnant!!" she exclaimed as she ran over and hugged both of them. 

"Oh good god two of you." Sam said as he hugged them.

"We don't know what they are yet but they could be." Bucky said 

"I'm only 10 weeks and 5 days along."she said 

Wanda and Natasha came over "I should of know something was up look you are already rounding out." Natasha said 

"I know she is. It's so freaking adorable." Bucky said as he lifted her shirt so they could see. 

That night they called her dad and stepmom and told them the news after they got back from having dinner with both is parents and her mom and stepdad. 

Two weeks later when she was 13 weeks along and showing more. She did her hair and make up holidays was when she hated being around her family. Because her parents were civil and wanted put up a united front they celebrated holidays as one big family so her dad's family would fly in. Bucky had his hands on her bump "You look beautiful." he said 

"Thanks." she said

Once she was done getting ready they headed to her mom's dance studio since that's where she hosts Christmas dinner since it's big enough for everyone to sit down and eat. Bucky and Kinsley had avoided Christmas dinners with her family but her dad and mom both insisted that they come cause her grandmothers were going to be there and they wanted to see her. 

They walked into the studio and she swallowed hard when they did. John and her mother Ashton came over "Oh my gosh look at you just like me when I carried Hunter and Hudson..it's good to see you James" Ashton said as she hugged and kissed them both and John shook Bucky's hand and hugged Kinsley. 

Then her dad Jason and stepmom Brianna came over and hugged and kissed them both. "Is that my grand daughter." Gloria said really loud as she came over to her.

"Hi grandma Gloria..this is my husband James Barnes. James this is my grandmother Gloria Cooper and my grandpa Col William Cooper. They are my mom's parents." she said 

"So you are the man that she married without telling anyone..it's nice to meet you finally. What's this I hear you are pregnant.." Gloria said 

She took off her jacket "I knew you would finally break.." Gloria said

"Grandma I never said that I didn't want kids I just wanted to establish my career first." Kinsley said 

Gloria shook her head as she walked away and she looked at her mom. "Honey..you know how she is. She's old fashion she believes that woman should be home with the babies." Ashton said 

Then she heard "Well it's about damn time I meet your husband." 

"Great she's just as bad.." she whispered 

"Hey grandma this is my husband James. James this is my grandma Anne and my other grandpa  Lt Col Charles Thomas." she said 

Bucky shook both of their hands Jason looked at his parents "Mom dad don't you dare say a word." Jason said

"All I was going to say is..clearly she didn't want kids with Josh or she would have given him babies instead of Abigail." Anne said when she pointed in their direction where Abigail had one feeding from her breast and three others sitting close by with Josh feeding one with a bottle. 

Jason said "James why don't you take her to get some air.." 
"Yeah.." he said 

"Wow your grandparents are intense..baby why didn't you say that they would be upset if we eloped.." he said 

"Because I didn't know they would be." she said 

A few minutes later they came back in they were talking to each other when she heard "Kinsley.." 

She knew who it was by the look on Bucky's face and she turned around "Just wanted to say congratulations on the baby." Josh said

"Babies..I'm having twins" Kinsley said 

"Oh..well congratulations and it's very nice to meet you James. I hope she is able to keep you around and not run you off with her temper or her need for control. I was quite surprised to hear the pregnancy news." Josh said 

"She's not gonna run me off I can handle the red headed temper and need for control. And not that it's any of your fucking business but it was her idea to start trying I gave her the time she wanted to be ready cause it's her body not mine I didn't expect her to start popping out babies unlike you." Bucky said 

"Josh I told you to be civil"Abigail said 

"Come on James." Kinsley said 

"Gladly darlin." he said as they left the dinner.
