The cats continue their journey, keeping their eyes open for any sign of the flower or any sort of savior. Then, the cats hear barking. Fawnbriar turns around to see a large dog dashing towards them.

"Run!" Fawnbriar yowls, dashing off as fast as she can, even though the pain of her wound is very sharp. She notices that Frostpath is following her close behind. She hops onto a tree with a low branch so she wouldn't hurt herself too much from climbing. She notices that Jinx is not far behind the two of them, but he is starting to fall behind as the dog catches up to him. Fawnbriar watches in fear.

"Run faster!" She yells as Frostpath hops onto the branch she's on. Fawnbriar is very grateful for this tree, since if there wasn't one with branches that are the perfect height, he would either hurt her wound even more or become dog food.

"No!" Frostpath yells as the dog tackles Jinx to the ground. Fawnbriar is absolutely terrified, preparing for the worst, and then she realizes that the dog isn't attacking Jinx at all. The dog licks Jinx excitedly, wagging its tail. Fawnbriar and Frostpath exchange confused glances.

"Hey! He's a nice doggie!" Jinx meows with a purr of amusement. Fawnbriar lets out a loud sigh as the two cats hop down from the branch. She notices that Mistystorm, Cinderlight, and Lily are dashing towards them.

"What happened?!" Mistystorm asks, her eyes wide, prepared for the worst after hearing all of the yowling. Mistystorm lets out a sigh once she spots the dog licking Jinx.

"Okay, get off me now!" Jinx purrs. The dog looks over at the other cats, who all look very confused. The dog yaps at them.

"It seems friendly! Can it come with us?!" Cinderlight asks the other cats excitedly with a bounce.

"No," Mistystorm responds. "It's a dog. It shouldn't be with us," she meows. "Anyways, let's keep going."

The six cats continue on their journey, hoping to get away from the dog. But, it just keeps on following them.

"Hey! Maybe the dog wants to be a ShadowClan warrior!" Frostpath jokes with a purr of amusement. "His name could be... Dogbark. We would be invincible in battles! He could become leader, Dogstar, only communicating through barks that no cat understands. Every cat's warrior name would be something bark. Frostbark, Mistybark, Fawnbark, Cinderbark..." He continues. "We wouldn't be ShadowClan anymore. We would be BarkBark."

Fawnbriar rolls her eyes and sighs, hoping the white tom would shut up.

"I think he will go away eventually," Mistystorm meows. "Anyways, a dog can't join Clans."

"I mean, we're taking in kittypets, there isn't much of a difference," Fawnbriar grumbles, more annoyed by her chest and belly pain than anything else. Her heart stops once she notices the look on Mistystorm's face once she turns her head to look at her. Her emerald gaze almost sends chills down Fawnbriar's spine. She notices that Jinx and Lily seem disturbed by what she said as well. Fawnbriar gulps nervously.

"I'm sorry," is all she meows as the cats continue to walk. Then, at that moment, the cats hear a whistle noise, probably from a twoleg, and the dog dashes away in its direction.

"Finally," Mistystorm meows with a sigh.

"The sky is getting dark with clouds. Should we be worried?" Frostpath asks, looking up at the darkening sky.

Oh no, it looks like we'll probably have another night with barely any fresh-kill. Fawnbriar thinks as her belly growls. Hopefully it isn't that bad.
