Josefine Diaz has faced a lot in her life. More than any young teenager should.
in a futile attempt to shield her from further pain, Josie's parents decide it would be an excellent idea to send her away to Rim of The World summer camp. A place to make new friends, try new experience, and hopefully canoe away that nervous feeling that always seems to linger.
However, in the event of an alien invasion and near world annihilation, it might be a while before Josie gets the relaxing vacation her parents wanted for her. She does manage to make a few friends along the way, though.
