LILY: tom? hello?

TOM: hi, you're going to
freak out

LILY: what is it? should i
be nervous? you're kind of
making me nervous?

TOM: oh, please don't be.
i just wanted to call you
because i heard the song
yesterday by the beatles
at the grocery store this
evening.

TOM: and i was fanboying
for a straight minute and i
just had to call you.

LILY: wait fuck, really?

LILY: fuck i didn't mean
to curse

TOM: ... you just did
it again.

LILY: shit when it comes
to the beatles and you calling
it builds up my excitement

TOM: well, yeah i
immediately thought
of you when i heard it.

TOM: seriously, i feel like
you secretly control the
music here

TOM: wait did you just say
you were excited that i called you?

LILY: no, no.

TOM: silly, you just said that.

LILY: ...

TOM: hello?

LILY: you never call me
so of course i had to get
excited.

TOM: oh...okay. [laughs]

TOM: i'll take a note of that
and call you more often then.

LILY: i quite like the sound
of that.

LILY: call me every single
time you hear a beatles song
playing.

TOM: that'd be every single
day.

TOM: i mean, um, i wouldn't mind.

TOM: oh, by the way. i just remembered
i start filming again next month.

LILY: oh, uh, really?

TOM: yeah, i'm really excited
to actually start again but you
know what that means...

TOM: i won't be able to see you
that often

LILY: that's great!

LILY: [pauses] i'm genuinely happy
for you, you're back to it.

TOM: you are?

LILY: yeah of course, why
wouldn't i be? you're back to
doing what you love.

TOM: yeah, me too. i
thought you'd be disappointed
because we wouldn't see each
other as much.

LILY: i know... but we all
have our lives to live, it's okay.

LILY: we'd still keep in touch
right?

TOM: lily, of course.

TOM: plus, i still have a
month left. a lot of time
to be spent with you.

LILY: yeah, you're right.

TOM: and that movie
i promised?

TOM: we're doing that
soon.

LILY: [chuckles] i can't wait.

TOM: ...i'm hoping i get positive
feedback.

LILY: maybe, who knows?

LILY: oh gosh, wait. is it
a spiderman movie?

TOM: [pauses] i could sense the
disappointment in your
voice.

LILY: so it is.

LILY: not disappointed! more
like, curious.

TOM: [exhales in relief] thank god,
now i can go to sleep peacefully.

LILY: oh just, wait until after the movie.

LILY: but hey, i'm going to head to bed.
i have a class in the morning. [groans]

TOM: good luck.

TOM: i'll talk to you tomorrow,

LILY: alright. i-good night, tom.
