Aries sat cross-legged on Stephen's bed as he sat down on the floor in front of her. He was sitting cross-legged as well with his chin resting on the edge of the bed. She was softly running her fingers through his hair.
"Saw you get your ass kicked by Mordo today," she quipped.
He groaned. "Let's not talk about that. Let's talk about something else."
"Okay, like what?"
"Relics," he answered. "Do you have one?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Dude, does it look like I have one?"
"Who says dude nowadays?" Stephen retorted.
"Well, who says nowadays? Old people, that's who. You're old, Steph."
He rolled his eyes. "We're the same age, Aries."
"Yeah, but I'm half-Asian. I look good even when I'm aging. Do you see my wrinkles? No, because I don't have any. You're the one who has wrinkles."
Stephen scoffed. "We are not having this discussion."
"I think we should have this discussion," she retorted. "Come on, say it. I know you want to say it."
"You have wrinkles."
Aries narrowed her eyes and she threw a pillow at his face. "Just because I say say it, doesn't mean you should say it."
He chuckled. "I miss these moments."
She smiled and nodded. "You were always busy with work."
"And now I've lost my hands," he muttered.
She frowned and gently grabbed his hands. "That doesn't matter. Your job isn't your life. You're becoming a better person, Stephen, and if you still want to continue being a slave to the medical world, I won't mind. I'll continue to be here for you."
He smiled. "This is the nicest you've been to me in months."
"Because you're a dipshit," she retorted.
"Oh, and you're back," he muttered. "That's wonderful."
"I'm not sure if I appreciate that attitude, Mr. Strange."
