I glance at my watch as I lean my back on the tree, thanking it for the shade it provides against the beating sun.

Saiki is late, I thought to pull out my phone to see if I missed any texts from him. Maybe he forgot about our meeting place?

It was a given that since our relationship was secret, we couldn't just walk out of school together without being questioned by one of his friends. The fact was, nobody even knew that we knew each other that well so obvious it would be a bit weird to see us going somewhere alone together.

So anytime we wanted to go somewhere after school together, we would meet here. It was a tree outside of the nearest shopping district about ten minutes away from school in the opposite direction of Saiki's house.

I'm not going to lie, it's a pain sometimes to leave about ten minutes before he does just to meet up again at a different location, but it was necessary if we wanted to keep this relationship between us, so I don't complain.

Just as I was about to press his number to call him, I nearly jumped out of my skin when I face to chest with my boyfriend.

"You called?" He asked as I placed my hand over my heart trying to stop it from leaping out of my chest.

"Saiki if you're going to teleport here then at least make some sound so I know that you're coming." I reprimanded, finally coming down from the jump scare. As usual, he looked indifferent to everything and instead tilted his head in slight confusion and a bit annoyance.

"Yeah, sure. What are we even doing here in the first place?" He asked just like I planned. At this, I smiled proudly as I pointed towards the direction of the shopping center.

"We're here to buy games of course!" I said excitedly, waiting to see his reaction. Just as I theorized, he turned around to teleport to his home.

"I'm going home."

Luckily for me, I caught his arm just in time before he could do it. At this, he stared at my pouting face and sighed. "Why do you want to buy games in the first place? I thought you were more into anime?"

"Well you're right about that but today this trip isn't for me. It's for you, Saiki." I said, at this, I saw his eyes widen. "After hearing that you can't play popular games because of the spoilers, I decided that the only way around that is to buy the games before they're popular."

My resolution was solid. I wanted Saiki to enjoy the things that he couldn't because of his powers and the only way to do that was to find the loopholes.

"That's nice and all but not necessary. I'm really okay with-"

"If you go with me now, the next time we go to Café Mami I will pay for everything."

Just as those words left my lips, I felt a gush of wind hit me as Saiki passed by me in rapid speed. "What are you waiting for? Let's go."

Laughing, I quickly followed him as he entered the district.

"How are we supposed to know what to look for anyway? You can't know what's going to be popular in the future." Saiki watched as I roamed the isles of the store, glancing at my phone every once and while to see if I found the game that I was looking for.

"Want to bet?" I asked smugly as I returned to his side to show him what I was looking for. "This guy on VidTube is called the Seer. Apparently, whenever he plays a new game, it becomes popular in three weeks. He uploaded a video about thirty minutes ago and it already has thirty thousand views!" I explained as he nodded in understanding.
