(Song of the chapter: 1985- J. Cole)

Thursday passed uneventfully and by Friday I was yearning for the weekend and some much-needed rest. I walked back into my house, taking my bag off and throwing it down onto the sofa, flopping down next to it and turning on the tv. Josh suddenly cannonballs over the back of the sofa, nearly landing on me. "You are so annoying!" I exclaim trying to push him off the sofa, he doesn't budge, and I roll my eyes and reach for the remote, switching on Netflix. "So little sis, how are you", "I'm good" I reply, drawing out the good, "oh really" Josh replies almost mockingly. I look at him, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion at his sceptical tone.

"I saw you with Katya" he says in a sing-song voice, I roll my eyes, questioning cynically "and?" He pushes my arm, "and she doesn't normally just hang out with people, what were you doing?" I raise an eyebrow at him, "why? Are you jealous Joshie?" Now he rolls his eyes, "ugh, no. I just want to make sure you don't get played. Katya is known for having all of these fuck toys, you know she fucks and chucks." I shake my head, "it's not like that, we're just friends." He raises his eyebrows "it didn't look like that when you were sucking face with her." My mouth falls open and my eyes widen. He changes his tone, "don't worry I won't tell mum or anything if you don't want." I smile "thanks" I pause, sighing, "but honestly Josh, it isn't serious or anything with Katya, I'll be fine, I promise." He pauses, thinks for a second then replies, "ok, well just be careful, I don't want you getting hurt. And if she or anyone else hurts you, you know I can kick their ass if you want." He winks and sticks out his tongue and I laugh at him before he saunters out and goes to the kitchen, probably foraging again for some awful food combination.

I go upstairs and change out of my outfit, instead slipping into some tracksuit bottoms and a barbie tank top. Snuggling into my bed, I scroll through my phone, catching up on my friends' photos and messages, liking Adore's latest selfie.

My breath hitches as I see that Katya is typing on snapchat, we hadn't spoken since Wednesday at the cinema. I hope she didn't regret it. I didn't.

As the message came through, I waited a few minutes before opening it and exhaled a sigh of relief.

Katya: hey, do u want to come over? x
