The woods were always peaceful, there never seemed to be a disturbance for the small family of three. So when they heard shrieks from children while on a daily run through the woods they were concerned. Within a few minutes they came across a clearing where a large group of children appeared to be playing by a pond. The only adult with them noticed the family and beckoned them over. The mother kept her child close while her husband talked with the man. The man explained how Abnormal children were slowly being targeted, and he was in charge of taken care of a large group. While they talked a young siren and a young kitsune approached the family of cervitaurs.
"Do you want to play with us?" the children asked the youngest cervitaur. Looking up at his parents to get permission first before running off with them. The day progressed and as the man continued his talk of the dangers the parents thought their son might be safer living under the care of the government official.
Over the course of a month, they got their son to move into the manor, the parents seeing how close he was with the other kids knew he would be fine. Now unlike other parents, young Sicheng's visit the manor often as they live within the forest only about half an hour from the manor. Or at least they did, until their cottage was burned down by a group of teenage humans who were camping in the woods on night.
