During the journey; everyone was tired of sitting in the van for so long, due to Leo's constant bickering about how better it would have been to come in a vehical he built, me trying to read the map to Percy (who was unfortunately the only one eligible to drive cause he had a license now), calypso shouting at every other tree or at the radio generally everything including the steering wheel when Perce was driving that lead to all of us almost dying,Frank and Nico kept on arguing on mythomagic stuff which lead to hazel and will telling hazel about medical stuff and his fanny pack on his waist. Along with all this Jason and Reyna began an arm wrestling contest on the frigging handrest!!! with Piper cheering all the way and then she just got so tired that she opened up a bag of chips or atleast tried to but the whole burst on her face As well as Leo's and calypso began questioning about what chips were and after that about the ac (which did not work well tbh) and she just kept going on and on top our ears bled, I wanted to shut her up but I can't blame the girl she was in an island for so many centuries but come on a rabbit is not something new that you need talk about for 1 hour(I still am not so friendly with her especially after Tartarus but she means alot to leo and I don't wanna make a fuss about it so I just keep it with me and Percy who also has hate boiling inside of him since the day he saw her. We just want leo to be happy so we keep it to ourselves). Until Nico shoved a first full of chips in her mouth and said"try these!! They are supposed to be chewn as show as possible" and we all were just in shock awaiting for leo to come and slap him hard, but instead he gently whispered to him"I would slap you but it was needed but the next time you do a stunt like this Angelo you are dead meat"Nico took the warning and returned to his conversation with Frank. When Percy asked me weather we are taking a left or right. Here is what happened
Percy: annabeth are we taking a left?
Annabeth: right.
Percy: so we are taking a right?
Annabeth: no left!!
Percy: GOSH WOMEN MAKE UP YOUR MIND ARE WE TAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT!!??!!!
annabeth: WE ARE TAKING A LEFT!L-E-F-T! LEFT!!!!!!!

After this And pretty much destroying our enthusiasm and killing a deer we all just let music play and everyone feel asleep except for me and Percy who were at the front. Soon it was getting dark and a cool breeze was blowing so we switched off the ac and opened the windows. "We are almost here guys wake up" I announced and everyone just groaned. "They are like a bunch of little kids mad at first then they get tired and doze off" said Percy with a smirk, I looked at all of their calm sleeping faces and with a sigh asked"have you ever thought about how being a demigod stole a normal childhood from us?".I mean look at us, we have been through so much more in 6 years than people have in their whole life" he looked at me and said "sure our lives are different Ann,(only he and my dad could called me this) but looking back, I think it have us something so much greater than what kids our age have. They have friends and we, we are....... family, a real family who is there for each other no matter what. People don't get the kind of family we have in their whole life, but we got it in 6 years. I consider this the best." "Out of curiosity Perce, would you go back and change the day you found out about demigods? Would you change your life for a peaceful and normal one?" He looked at me and smiled "Ann, I wouldn't change anything, because the night I found out I was a demigod, was the night I found the best thing that ever happens to me; you. I would never change anything because no matter how ad-hoc, cruel or harsh life has been I always had you by my side and that just made everything so simple and beautiful".I couldn't resist the blush when I jumped on hearing a deafening AWWWW from everyone in the van. Leo hugged Percy and said"you are welcome for this beautiful friendship and me" Percy replied"eww dude you smell terrible get off me" leo let out an instant pout and we all began laughing. I felt the laughter come out naturally, it felt so good to finally feel this feeling of wanting to just pause time and keep on living this moment forever. I didn't care when we reached our destination because this journey was what I wanted to be.I was finally happy.
