Chapter 1

Makoto's P.O.V

Today is the day I finally get to meet up with my friend Haru. Ever since I moved to Tokyo to go to university we haven't really talked much since.

Although, our friendship never died, even though we have been distant for a while.

Luckily it is summer now so me and Haru decided to meet up so we could spend time together, which I'm really happy about.

So that brings us here, with me walking over to the train station to meet Haruka nanase...

My best friend.

I smile to myself as I feel the afternoon summer breeze hit my face, causing my hair to swish from side to side. The warmth of the sun covered any bare skin that may be exposed on my body, causing me to smile even brighter.

I sat down on a bench near the train station, pulling out my phone only to see I received a message from Haru a few minutes ago. The message read, 'Im almost there.' I smiled to myself knowing that this was really happening, I get to see my best friend once again, it's been so long. After a few moments of staring at my phone, I decided to look up at the people around me.

I suddenly saw a bed of raven hair and eyes like the ocean, immediately knowing it was Haru.

I quickly stood up and put on the brightest smile.
"Haru, Over here!" I spoke loudly with a wave of the hand, making sure he could hear me. I saw him turn around and I swear I could see a small smile on his lips.
He walked over to me, looking up into my eyes. I smiled down at him before he spoke.
"Nice to see you again Makoto.." he spoke softly, causing me to blush lightly at the sound.

It's been a while since I've heard him speak with that soft voice of his, honestly I didn't realise how much I missed it until now.

I couldn't help myself, so I quickly wrapped my arms around the smaller boy, smiling softly.
"I missed you so much haruka." I spoke happily, glad to see him again.
"Don't call me that.." he sighed before wrapping his arms around me, accepting my embrace.

I chuckled at haru's words before pulling back slowly, not really wanting to let go from my best friend.

"I have so much planned for us, it's going to be a great summer Haru." I spoke happily with a sweet smile. He looked up at me and nodded,
"I'm sure it will." He spoke softly with a small smile playing at his lips, a smile that would forever make me feel warm inside.

I smirked slightly and began to walk to a small coffee shop a few minutes away from the train station, Haru walking next to me.
"It's been a while since I saw that smile of yours." I giggled and looked down at the raven haired boy.
"Shut up.." he spoke quietly looking ahead.

I rolled my eyes playfully as we both arrived at the coffee shop I planned to go to. I opened the door letting Haru in first. He thanked me before I let myself in and walked over to a table. Soon enough We both found a two seater table in the far corner of the shop and sat down, taking off our jackets despite it being warm outside.
"So Haru, how have you been?" I asked with a happy smile on my face, glad to be in haru's presence once again.
