Chapter 5

Makoto's p.o.v

Me and Haru exited the hotel as we began our journey to a small cafe not far from where we were staying.

After a few minutes of walking I felt a arm wrap around my own, I looked down and saw it was haru's, his cheeks were a dark red, causing me to chuckle. I let him do as he pleased, not minding the contact.

We arrived at the café and as we entered I felt Haru let go of me, causing my smile to fade into a normal expression. We sat on a table in the far right and ordered two coffee's along with some toast for me and Haru. "This place is cosy huh." I smiled, looking around at the homey décor before looking into haru's ocean blue orbs. He smiled back but only slightly. "Yeah it is..." He paused before speaking again. "Sorry for um.. holding you're arm back there.." he looked away and blushed. I just kept a sweet smile on my face to show him that I didn't mind. "Haru, it's okay... I liked it.." I spoke truthfully with a light blush.

Haru looked back at me with a small smile and a nod. After a few minutes our order came and two plates were set in front of us along with the drinks. "So what are we going to do today?" I heard my best friend speak as I took a sip of my coffee before answering. "I thought you and me could go to the beach, you know like old times." I spoke softly with a smile. Haru looked back at me also smiling at my plans. "I would love that.." he spoke causing my smile to brighten.

After a while of talking we decided we were finished with our breakfast, so we headed out once again and walked to the beach, enjoying the warmth of the summer sun and the light breeze that came with it.

A few minutes past and suddenly the beach came into view, I smiled softly as the ocean sparkled in the sun's reflection. I looked down at Haru and saw that he was looking at the ocean with a bright smile.

His smile was beautiful.

Haru then looked up at me, "it looks so nice." He spoke softly, I blushed lightly with a small nod, "it sure does." I smiled as we made our way down the steps and onto the sand. Haru walked ahead of me and sat down, I looked at his eyes, they were staring directly at the ocean, but not intensely, in a soft way.

I chuckled and sat beside him bumping his shoulder playfully. "you wanna get in it don't you.." I spoke as I looked down at my best friend. Haru didn't look at me but instead rested his head on my shoulder, causing my cheeks to darken in colour and a smile appear on my lips. "I do.." he spoke with a smile at the end. I saw the way he was looking at the ocean, he loves it.

I smiled softly before resting my head onto his, I felt Haru nuzzle the side of his head against my shoulder, causing me to chuckle softly and look ahead at the sparkling ocean. "There's gonna be a meteor shower here tonight, you wanna watch it?" I asked, knowing he'd say yes. "Of course I do." Haru spoke softly and sighed with content. "I knew you would." I chuckled as we both gazed at the ocean for as long as we wanted, Observing all its beauty.
