Chapter 8

Haru's P.o.v

The morning soon came and I was awoken by the sun beaming through the curtains. my eyes began to flutter open as I felt something warm on my chest. I smiled remembering it was Makoto. 'Last night sure was great..' I thought, blushing as I replayed the events in my mind.

I suddenly felt movement, instantly knowing it was Makoto as I looked down at him. He opened his eyes and rubbed them with his hand then looked up at me. "Good morning beautiful." He spoke causing me to blush lightly but chuckle as well. "Good morning handsome." I spoke back, his cheeks darkening in colour too.

"We should wash, wanna go for a bath?" I asked Makoto as he looked up at me with a smile. "Of cour-" he was going to finish but a buzz of a phone interrupted him. He reached over and grabbed his phone from the bedside table. I closed my eyes but when I suddenly heard a gasp I shot them open. "What is it Makoto?" I asked looking down at him, his eyes were wide as he stared at his phone.

"I've been...offered a job at Iwitobi swim club..." He spoke, happiness was all you could hear behind his words. My eyes widened. "Wait what?!" I spoke and looked at his phone. It was true... He was offered to be a trainer at the swim club.

"What are you going to say?!" I spoke, hoping he'd say yes. That means he won't have to stay here anymore. He could come home with me. We could spend more time together. He could go home to see ren and ran.

Makoto looked at me and smashed his lips onto mine. It surprised me at first but I soon kissed back, holding his cheeks with my hands. "I already accepted." He spoke with a smirk and placed his phone screen in front of me, showing that he pressed accept and was going to start on Monday at 9:00am.

I gasped and hugged him closely to me. "You really did it...you get to come home..but.. what about your university?" I spoke, "don't worry, I've finally got my dream job, there's no point going anymore." He spoke with a happy laugh at the end. "I'm so happy Makoto, truly.." I smiled and hugged him tighter. "I also did it because of you Haru..I don't want to be distant from you ever again.." Makoto spoke as he pulled away.

I looked lovingly into his eyes and pecked him on the lips. "I love you.." I spoke softly, feeling happy Makoto accepted. Not was it only his dream, but he got to see him just like old times again. "I love you too.. now let's go wash shall we?" He chuckled and I nodded. "Alright." I smiled as we stood up.
