My Brother's Bandmate

Chapter 2

I woke up and looked at the clock on the wall. It was 5:26 in the morning. I couldn't go back to sleep. I noticed Ashley was playing with my hair.

"Ashley, why are you awake?" I whispered.

" I couldn't go back to sleep. I've been up for like an hour now. You were really restless so I played with your hair and you settled down, but now you're awake again." He whispered and chuckled lightly.

"I can't sleep either. It didn't rain at the beach last night. Let's go down there. They won't be awake until a while from now." 

"Okay. Go get your bikini and I'll go put on my swimming trunks."

"Okay.", Ashley stood up and helped me up. He threw me over his shoulder and I started laughing.

"Shh! Don't wake them up!" He whispered/yelled.

We got upstairs and he sat me down on my bed, "Get dressed, I'll be back."

He walked out to get dressed and I changed into my black strapless bikini. I threw a black hollister v-neck over it with some black sweatpants. Ashley came back in wearing his swimtrunks under his black sweatpants and black wifebeater.

"Let's go, love." He smiled at me. His smile was gorgeous.

"Let's go." I grabbed his hand and smiled back. I turned off the light and we crept downstairs, careful not to wake the guys.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen to write the guys a note that said:

Just incase any of you wake up & see that we're gone-

Me & Ash couldn't sleep so we went to the beach. Not sure when we'll be back. Call if you need anything. Love you<3

"Let's go out the back door so we don't wake them up." Ash said. I nodded and we walked in the backyard, through the gate, and out to the car.

About 15 minutes later we were at the beach. There was no one there. He opened my door for me and carried me bridal style until wear were near the shore.

"Ashley, ya' know, I can walk." I giggled.

"Well where's the fun in that?" He replied.

When we got near the shore I threw a huge black throw blanket down while Ashley took off his shirt and sweatpants. I glanced at him and he noticed and smirked at me. I took off my shirt and pants and Ashley smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Let's go get in the water." He looked down and smiled at me.

"Okay." I smiled back at put my long platinum blonde hair in a messy bun, since I didnt wanna get it wet.

We walked out until the water was to our torso. Ashley held me by my waist and my hands were holding onto his shoulders. We just floated around and talked. His brown eyes were shimmering in the moonlight. He was perfect.

"So when do you you guys have to leave to go on tour? Not that I want you all to go. Just wondering." I said.

"We leave next thursday. It was supposed to be this thursday but they gave us an extra week since they had to find one more band." He replied, "Which means, you have to put up with us for another week." He chuckled lightly.

I smiled at him, "I like having you guys around. I've missed CC so much. This is the first time I've seen him in months. Do you know why he waited so long for me to meet you guys?"

"Not sure. I don't think he had a specific reason for it. But he talks about you alot." He smiled.

"Really? What's he say?"

"Well, he talks about how you all are so close. And all of the crazy shit you two do when you're together. He says whenever you two talk on the phone, you're the one who gives him all the crazy prank ideas for him to get us with." He laughed.

"Oops." I smiled innocently.

"You're so adoreable. You know that?" He smiled.

"Really?" He was being so nice. He doesn't seem like the selfish manwhore that everyone makes him out to be.

"Yes, really." 

We floated somemore and talked. The sun was starting to rise. Me and Ashley had been here for like an hour. I was getting kinda cold and started to shiver.

Ashley hugged me tighter, "Are you getting cold? Come on, let's go dry off." 

We swam back up to shore, dried off, and put our clothes on. I grabbed the blanket, shook all of the sand off and put it the trunk. We got in the car and I looked at the clock, it was 6:45. 

"You wanna go get breakfast?" Ashley asked me as he started up the car.

"Sure." I replied. My phone started playing 'The One That You Hated' by Adler. CC was calling me.

"Heller'?"

"Hey, Nic. We're all awake. I was just making sure you were okay." 

"I'm good, bro. We're leaving the beach now and we're gonna go eat breakfast."

"Ooh! Come pick us up and take us with you!"

"CC why can't you drive?"

"Because I don't wanna waste my gas. We can all just take one car."

"There's not enough room."

"We can sit on laps!"

"Fineee. Be there soon. Be ready!"

I hung up and looked at Ashley, "They want you to pick them up and take them with us."

"Aw, I wanted it to be just me and you," He smirked. "but it's cool."

Damn CC, ruining my time with Ashley. Oh well. He's my big brother, I love him.

When we got to the house I walked inside to get them. Andy ran outside and yelled "Shotgun!" I just rolled my eyes and laughed. Me, CC, Jake, and Jinxx had to sit in the back. I sat on CC's lap. 

"Where are we going?" CC asked.

"Let's go to iHop!" Andy yelled. We all agreed and started driving.

I looked at Andy, "Can I borrow a cig? I'll give you one when we get home."

He nodded and handed me one. I rolled the window down a bit to let the smoke out. The rest of the ride was pretty good. CC and Ashley were cracking jokes. I wondered if I would ever have a chance with Ashley. Probably not. But a girl can dream.
