Sports festival part 2

Ok sorry for drawing this out, the next update may be next week but will cover the battles.

Izumi POV

I hear a number of grumbles and get some glares but I also get some smiles and thumbs up.

"It is now time for the second event, Chariot!" Midnight announces.

"Each participant will get a sash and will form teams of 2-5 members. Each sash will have a point value based on their finishing position and the person at the end with the most points will win," she says directing attention to the scoreboard.

I swallow when I see how much mine is worth. Yet part of my brain is already working. I look around and find Ochacco right next to me. As I approach Momo she sees me and gives me a sad smile.

"Sorry Izumi but I need to prove myself," she says and I nod.

I share a look at Todoroki and know that he's not backing down.

"I'll join your team, we can show off my babies," the pink haired boy with goggles says.

"Ok," I nod.

As most everyone else is pairing off I start looking for the last member of our team and find Tokoyami. I get a look from Kabro and I feel our sibling rivalry spark.

Dark Shadow seems to notice us first and gets Tokoyami's attention.

"Tokoyami? Want to join my team?" I ask as I walk up.

"Sure, Dark Shadow seems to like the idea," he says.

As we lay out the plan I wind up as the rider. Despite my desire to help with the mobility if I'm the target everyone is going after it's best to give me the best view and because I'm the lightest.

I wind up accepting a jet pack that fits between my wings to reduce the strain of having to lift the others from Rei. Meanwhile Ochacco gets some jet boots to help with mobility as she lightens is with her Quirk.

When the start call begins we focus on defense as both Kabro and Todoroki focus on gathering points. Our initial moves are to go around the field not staying still for long.  Yet as the battle rages on we have to start dodging more and more. Suddenly we are stopped as the ground becomes like clay. Ochacco fights to lift off the ground but her jet boots malfunction.

Using my pack with my wings we dodge out of the way as Sero's tape shoots out for my headband. Todoroki's ice boxes us in as the final warning sounds. I find myself facing my brother and childhood friend.

As the seconds ticked by Todoroki with Iida underneath surged forward. As I jumped with my wings I reached out with my claw field. We soared past each other and I landed on Tokoyami. As the siren blasted I look up and realize that I missed Todoroki's sash and had a smaller value one. Dark Shadow smiles holding up the ones from everyone else from the group including Todoroki's.

As I get set down we cheer and high-five.

Sorry for the briefness but I promise the next update will be better.
