18~This is Why I Love You

"I did not sign up for this" Thomas said when he sat back down, Derek letting out a non subtle chuckle as he missed the pins.

"Oh little brother...let me show you how a real man bowls" Derek picked up the heaviest ball there, of course to him it didn't weigh anything.

He lined up his run up if you could call it that, and took a glance around to see if anyone was looking. His eyes glowed a yellow and with that the ball went in a straight line down the lane, scoring him a strike.

"That's not fair...you cheated" Derek scoffed at Thomas' accusations "Do you seriously believe I could not sense you changing?"

"Even I could sense it" Cora's gentle voice called, approaching them with a teddy bear. She'd gotten bored of the bowling and decided it was a lot more entertaining to drag Jacob around to win her some prizes.

"Yeah bro...wolf you has a very distinct smell" Jacob clapped him on the back, seeing it was his turn and he had only a total of 10 points "I asked you to bowl for me...not try and make me the first person here to have the lowest score"

"We got bored...decided to get creative" Derek rested his arm on top of Thomas' head, which was swatted away by the younger Hale himself.

"Thanks, just know it's gonna come back around and bite you in the ass" he threatened jokingly.

A few bowls later, and many insults thrown at each other from the brothers the round had come to an end.

"And what did I say?" Jacob patted his own shoulder as a congratulations to himself for scoring higher than Derek once the round was over.

"Oh shut up" Derek pushed him lightly but Jacob caught himself from falling.

"Derek can we play monopoly when we get back home?" Cora asked innocently whilst pulling off her puppy dog eyes.

"We played that a few nights ago" he reminded her, he picked her up onto an empty table and unstrapped her from the bowling shoes, and put her ones back on for her.

"Stiles would let me" her lips turned into a pout and she sniffled, pretending to cry. Derek crosses his arms and gave her the 'really, that ain't gonna work on me'.

Fast forward an hour later to when they have all arrived home, all sitting in a circle with the board game laying in the middle.

"Wow, you really are the worst at this game" Thomas stated the second Derek had to hand over £350 for landing on Thomas' house. Derek only scoffed and rested his back against the couch when he realised he only had £100 left.

Derek turned his head towards the front door when he heard the sound of keys jingling. A smile found its way to his lops when he saw Stiles walk in with Luca on his hip.

"Hey" Derek abandoned the game and made his way over to his boyfriend and baby brother.

"Hi, how's your day been?" Stiles asked

Derek lapped his arm around the boy's waist and pulled him in closer to his side, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.

"Better now that you're here" Derek informed him making Stiles chuckle.

"Hey, hold it right there, we have had a great time today" Jacob spoke up, he was offended by the fact Derek didn't enjoy today.

Derek only ignored him and continued talking with Stiles "So what about you two, what have you been doing today?" he asked in a sweet voice as he picked up Luca.

"Well...we went to the park didn't we" Stiles spoke for Luca, tickling his sides making him giggle and squirm in Derek's arms. After he'd calmed down a bit more he let him slide down and run off to the living room. He took hold of Stiles' hands and brought them up to his lips, leaving a lingering kiss.

"I love you" Derek said out of no where as he pulled Stiles' in by his hips

"I love you too" Stiles spoke caressing Derek's biceps, Derek brought his lips to Stiles' and kissed him gently, resting their foreheads against one another as he pulled back "What was that for? Not that I'm complaining"

"Thank you...for everything you do for me, I don't know what I'd do without you"

"Is this about tomorrow?" Stiles asked picking up on his emotions, Derek gave a little noticeable nod in return "Hey its going to be okay" he rested his palms on either side of Derek's face and made him look up at his eyes "I said the same thing yesterday, and I'm saying it again today, because I believe it, we're going to be okay" Derek let the corner of his lip curl up, a sly smile slowly appearing at Stiles' words.

"This is why I love you"
