It was a few days after the Second Task had ended. When Jade had returned to the Slytherin Common Room that night, everyone had wanted to party. Now that a few days had passed her Housemates had calmed down a little.

Now, it was the first Saturday of March. The trees were still bare but they looked a little more alive compared to how they had looked in February. She came downstairs to the Slytherin Common room, about to head down for lunch. From the corner of her eye, someone stood up from a chair.

"Hi, Jade." A familiar feminine voice came from her left.

Jade turned to see Daphne Greengrass, Adonis's cousin. Some of her blonde hair was tied behind her head, the rest of it resting on her shoulders.

"Hi." Jade greeted back. "What's up?"

Daphne gestured to where she had been sitting. Jade glanced at the chair to see a bulky textbook, Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger.

"I'm kind of having some trouble with this assignment for Snape. None of my other friends started it yet since it isn't due until next Wednesday, but I want to just get this done. I saw Adonis earlier but he told me you could help a lot better." Daphne continued, rubbing the back of her neck.

Jade nodded in understanding. "I can take a look after I grab something to eat. I'm starving." She patted her stomach before taking another look at Daphne.

Daphne had grown a bit taller since the last time Jade had really looked at her. They didn't really talk often since they were in different years. Daphne also sometimes hung out with Pansy and her gang, who Jade didn't look highly upon because they were such drama queens.

What Jade seemed to notice over the years, however, was that Daphne always seemed to turn to Adonis if she was stressed about something. Maybe Daphne didn't see Pansy and her gang as people she could rely on, but just people to hang out with or sit next to in class. The only times Jade had dealt with Daphne and her younger sister, Astoria, was when Adonis pointed them to Jade for academic matters.

Jade's familial relationship with Cho had been a bit complicated until this year, but she could tell Adonis's relationship with Daphne and Astoria held few tensions.

"Are you okay?" Daphne asked. "You look like you're thinking about something."

Jade blinked back to reality. "Fine, just hungry." She gave a wave before heading out. "See you later."

It was definitely well past lunch hours, but for some reason Jade had felt like lying in bed versus going down to eat earlier. There weren't a lot of students in the halls at this time, but she was a bit surprised to see Adonis facing a pillar with his arms crossed. Usually he would be out and about with Adrian and Cassius at this time, but it was obvious from the way Adonis was standing that he wasn't with them.

Jade walked closer to see who he was with. Adonis hadn't noticed her yet, but when Jade peeked around the pillar she widened her eyes in surprise and suspicion.

"Hey, Lin's here!" One of the Weasley twins piped up. The other one peeked around the pillar and gave a bright smile.

Jade blinked rapidly, glancing at Adonis. He looked rather annoyed, but he was still facing the Weasley twins.

"What's going on?" Jade slowly asked in a skeptical tone. "Why are you guys together?" She looked at Adonis. "Did they pull a prank on you or something?"

Adonis rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "Surprisingly, not yet." He stared at the twin who had said hi to her. "You want to tell her why we're here, Weasley?"
