A/N - This one's a longer chapter I think. Hope you like! :) Please feel free to vote/comment, thanks!
Jade yawned as she shoved a roll of bread into her mouth, flipping open her parents' letter at the Great Hall.
Hello honey,
Hope school is good. Don't forget the Apparition test soon. Remember to focus.
We love you. See you soon.
Mum and Dad.
She blinked as she slowly chewed on the soft bread in her mouth. It was already the end of April; almost May. The year was going by so fast. The end of her sixth year was going to be here before she knew it and she would go home for the summer to see her parents.
Jade groaned. She honestly hadn't made that much progress in the Apparition lessons. She thought it would be pretty similar to Transfiguration, where she just needed a clear and firm mind, but Apparition felt so... infinite and complex at times.
I have to pass the test. I have to pass the test. Just pass the bloody test the first time through and then I don't have to take it again.
Cait also struggled at first with the lessons, but Cait was so free spirited that Apparating seemed to come more naturally for her. Cait did tell her that she couldn't take the Apparition test this year since her birthday fell almost right after the test date.
Jade flitted her gaze to the Hufflepuff table. Cait's birthday. May 8th. She finally swallowed her bread down. Goodness, it was going to take a lot more than loads of assignments to make her forget about her girlfriend's birthday.
They had scheduled another group study session some time ago, and coincidentally they picked the date of Cait's birthday, and that they can celebrate together; just the four of them.
Jade stood up to head towards the bathroom. She was about to head out, but quickly stopped to prevent herself from bumping into a group of three students heading in together.
She raised her eyebrows slightly when she saw who it was.
"Whoops." Harry Potter also dodged by instinct. Ron and Hermione were right behind him. Harry glanced over and his expression turned into slight surprise when he saw Jade. "Oh, Lin."
"Potter." Jade greeted in a rather tired, but not unfriendly, tone. By instinct, she also added. "Weasley, Granger."
Ron and Hermione blinked, a bit perplexed that Jade had addressed them. "Hello." They both nodded in her direction.
Jade gave another yawn before proceeding to walk out.
"Lin, hold up." Harry's voice called behind her.
Jade stopped and turned back around to face him. "Mhm?"
"Do you know when we're finding out more about the last task?" Harry asked.
Jade shook her head. "Not yet. They're taking their sweet time." She added sarcastically, though she was still tired. "Maybe we'll find out at the end of the year."
To her surprise, Harry let out a small chuckle in agreement. "Right."
She gave a small wave as she walked out. "Goodbye, Potter."

The day was here. The Apparition test. Jade was walking with Adonis and Laverna to the place the test was being administered. Normally, people would have to go to the Apparition Test Centre in the Ministry of Magic, but Hogsmeade was holding a special test session for students who were enrolled in the lessons.
