The Girl with the Red Eyes

Chapter 4

Alexa's POV

After the movie was over, Luke walked me to my room. He gave me a kiss told me night and walked to his room. I laid in my bed for about 30 minutes before I realized it was pointless. Vampires do sleep but we would rather not. So with that,I got out of my bed and jumped out the window.

Hey nothings better than a late night run!

I wizzed past all the trees and just enjoyed the feeling of the wind running through my black as night hair. After about an hour of nonstop running I was hit with such an excruciating pain in my side that it immediately brought me to a halt.

I looked down to see blood gushing from my stomach, and it finally dawned on me that I had been shot. I automatically went into a defensive stance and turned to the direction in which the bullet came from. When I saw a scrawny looking kid about a hundred feet away, my anger level shot up. I smirked knowing the kid would probably crap himself when he saw my eyes and hair turn red. I was in front of him before he even knew it and had him slammed up against a tree with my hand around his throat.

"Please don't kill me!" he shouted trying to loosen my grip on his neck. That pissed me off even more. I pulled his head forward and shoved it into the tree, which left him unconscious.

After making sure no one else was with him I finally made my way back to my house. Stupid idiot came by himself. Thank Goodness I wasn't

to far from the house. When I got back I went into the living room and shouted, "Everyone get up and get down here NOW!" While still having my hand wrapped in the collar of his shirt.

As people started making there way downstairs I noticed I was getting some odd looks. I then realized that I was only in my pretty purple bra and nike shorts, because I had to take off my shirt and wrap it around my waist to stop some of the bleeding.

Cameron ran straight to me to check on me, and so did Luke. I was so bombarded with questions by my friends and parents. I finally coulsn't take it any longer and snapped, "I'm fine just get the douche bag out of my sight. Stupid idiot child came by himself." I then threw the human boy across the room because of my anger leaving him crumpled on the ground. "Put him in a cell, when he wakes up I wish to be notified immediately." With that two men nodded and grabbed the boy and took him downstairs.

Since I had the boy taken care of, I then looked down to my side. Crap. I hate to admit it but the boy got a good shot in. I knew I was going to have to pull the bullet out, and I knew afterwards my body would go unconscious so my body could heal easier. "Lucas, come here please I need you to do something for me." I asked sweetly.

"Yes baby, anything," he answered and was quickly by my side. All I did was hold my out for him to take which he did. I took my other hand and began to dig for the bullet and when the pain would get to bad I would squeeze Luke's hand. After I had got the bullet out I threw it on the ground and turned to Luke.

"1...2...3." I said and then felt my body go slack while he caught me and I was enveloped in the darkness.

Joshua's POV

I was going crazy. First, Alexa had been real close to Lucas all night which was driving me crazy. Second, I kept having to watch them kiss and cuddle together during the movie. Third, she wakes everybody up in the middle of the night with an unconscious boy in her hands and only in a bra! Fourth, the reason she was in a bra was because she had been shot. Fifth, When she needed comfort she sought out Lucas. Sixth, she passed out three seconds after!

I was about to have an anxiety attack. I couldn't focus on anything or do anything. And also when I would go up to visit her I would always have to fight my way in there because everybody wanted to see her. Let me tell you this, she is loved by alot and I mean ALOT of people.

Right now I was in her room sitting on a chair beside her bed. It was just me, her, and Lucas. The dude hasn't left her side and if it wasn't for him being one of my best friends I would have already beat the heck out of him. I had been wondering why he was so close to her. They weren't mates, yet they where acting like it. Lucas is a player for sure, which is why it's odd that he's paying alot of interest in her.

"Hey dude why do you like Alexa so much?" I asked him.

"I don't know I just have this pull towards her." he replied which did not make me happy.

"Well ignore the pull, Alexa is my mate, and I don't want you going after her anymore, she's mine and only mine." I replied with a growl.

He stood up and began walking to the door, "Sorry Alpha but I just can't do that." And with that he left.
