The phone to your clinic rang. It's been going off all morning and it could only mean one person. The CEO. It was his special phone that he installed in the room without your knowledge and you can never complain to anyone about him or else he'd fire them, even if they didn't work for him. But he would never dare to fire you. You were vital to him.

"This is Dr. Jeon, how may I help you?" you asked into the phone. You expected him to laugh because rarely would you use formality around him.

"Y/N," he breathed out. His breathing was irregular and you could hear he was trying to fight back something.

"Oh my God, Namjoon, are you okay?" you asked, finally panicking.

"The medication......I ran out." he whispered. And then the line went dead. Scurrying to your feet, you grabbed the pills from the cabinet and threw them in your bag. The white lab coat remained on your body as you ran out of the clinic. Someone bumped into you.

"Noona, where are you going?" he asked.

"Oh, Jungkook. Please look after the clinic for me while I'm out." you said, continuing to run to your car. Heels clicking on the pavement.

"But where are you going?" he asked again. He was hoping to eat lunch with you.

"To him, he needs the medication." you yelled out.

Jungkook scoffed, "You mean he needs you." he said to himself. He went inside the clinic and unpacked his stuff. He would stay there probably for the rest of the day because you weren't coming back anytime soon. So he went on with eating lunch without his big sister.

You pressed on the pedal to full gas. There was always a thought in your mind whenever you drive to his office of why you didn't move your clinic closer to him. It seemed that your life would always revolve around the moon that is Kim Namjoon. His building came into view soon. Being one of the tallest buildings in the city, it was a little hard to miss. The 10 story building was home to genius brains that developed game-changing technology for any field, business, medical, engineering. It was only a matter of time before Namjoon will save the world. But he needed to be saved first.

The security guards nodded and allowed you to enter the elevator. His assistant met you as soon as you got off. "Thank god, you're here." he said with relief.

"Why didn't anyone informed me that his medication ran out? Isn't it your job, Taehyung?" you asked, almost annoyed. Taehyung looked down at his feet and didn't answer. You shook your head, you shouldn't yell at him now, he must also be distressed. "How is he?" you asked.

"He kicked me out of the room and said not to let anyone but you into his office." Taehyung explained. You sighed, it must be bad this time. The symptom seems to be getting more severe as he grows older. Taehyung knocked and announced that you were here. There was no answer which meant bad things only. The door was unlocked so you went inside cautiously and closed th4e door behind you.

You didn't see him anywhere in sight which made you even more nervous. He could hurt himself easily in this condition. But Namjoon had made sure to make his office as simple and functional as possible. There weren't any decorations or sharp edges. There were also soft rugs and fun wall paintings. It was almost designed for a child. A child, you thought sadly. But a voice interrupted you.

"Y/N, you're here." he exclaimed. You should have been happy to hear that he's okay, but it wasn't his voice, at least not his normal one. It was higher pitch and the words slurred instead of being coherent, like a child. He ran out from under the table and wrapped his arms around your waist, his head on your stomach. "I missed you. I-I was so scared. There was a big, scary noise coming from outside." he said, sniffling.

"Namjoon, how old are you right now?" you asked.

"9." he answered. It made your body stiffened. It was 10 just the other day, it couldn't have gone down to fast in such a short amount of time.

"Alright, it's time to take your medicine." you said, trying to pry him off of you but he wouldn't move. Instead, his grip on you was tighter and he shook his body,

"No, it tastes bad. I don't wanna." yelled.

"Namjoon, please. It'll make you feel better." Again, he shook his head. You sighed, knowing exactly what you needed to do. You brushed your hair back. "Joonie, please take your medicine, for me?" you cooed. You could see that he was hesitating and was internally fighting.

"Only if you kiss me on the cheek." he said quietly, kicking the non-existent dust on the floor.

"Alright, come here." You pulled him closer and placed your lips on his cheeks. His blood rushed to his cheeks and he giggled. It was the perfect opportunity to give him the pills, which he took happily. After that, he passed out on the couch. You decided to stay there until he woke up. As you watched him sleeping, you started thinking about how it all started. You met him in elementary since both your parents were business partners. You were once in the same economy class as him, but then someone scammed your parents and you lost everything. Your parents started everything again but promised they would never go into the business world ever again. They poured their efforts into charity work while you went to medical school and opened up your own clinic.

Namjoon didn't have it easy either. He lost his parents in a car accident when he was younger and grew up with his grandfather, who was luckily still alive He inherited the company young being the son of the eldest son. He endured vicious comments from his other uncles and aunts who wanted their son to take over instead. Aside from his grandpa, there was no one in his family on his side. Outside the family, he had you. You both stayed by each other's side during hard times. Namjoon even offered to open a clinic for you if you would be his personal doctor, but you declined. There were more people out in the world to help.

That was until it started. Whenever Namjoon went under great stress, or just nervous in general, his mind reverted back to a child as a coping mechanism. He went to numerous doctors from around the world, but nothing works. You and Jungkook worked together to form a pill that you decrease his heart rate, almost like a strong sleeping pill and that was the only the that has helped him since. No one knows about it aside from his grandpa, Taehyung, Jungkook, and yourself. If any of the family members find out, it would be a nightmare.

You brushed the hair out of his face. If this continues, he might go back to being a newborn soon and the medication seems to be losing its effectiveness. Your heart hurts, you just wanted him to be okay.
