Song of the chapter No Right to Love You acoustic by Rhys Lewis

I wake up the next morning feeling all fuzzy inside.

Oh god what am I talking about... what has happened to me. I shake my head at my own cringe thoughts. It was a "Frate" that's all. This is me, I spend way too much time overthinking things, I tend to overthink, overfeel, overstress and enormously overlove. Usually, more often, leads to my heart getting broken.

I walk towards the kitchen out of my bed to make myself a strong coffee and see a white slip of paper that's slid under the front door. Picking it up I see Keep the beanie 020-9890-8355 - Hero. I catch myself smiling at the small piece of paper in the mirror next to the door and walk back to the kitchen.

Once I made my coffee I sat on the window sill looking out onto the street in front of my house. I find myself starring at my phone and the piece of paper. What's a first text one friend would say to the other?

Is hey to casual? Is hey what's up just lame and uncool? I roll my eyes and let my head hit the wall behind me. I text Hero a simple and effective;

"Hello :) Maya"

Before I regret it too much I decide to focus on my rumbling stomach and open the fridge door to make some food. Not to my surprise, there really isn't any food. Minus some old bread, butter and apples I bought on my first day here. I get dressed and put on some casual black sweats and warm clothing to go into town and by some groceries.

As I walk down the Main Street I feel the cool breeze hit the spot between my sweatpants an my ankle and feel shivers down my back. I gather a good list of items from the fruit and vegetable store and also the deli and feel content with a little more than just the barbaric food in my fridge at the moment. I feel a vibration in my jacket pocket and open my phone lock screen to see

"Thought you'd never text... started to think you used me to get my beanie ;)" from Hero.

"Oh yeah I did, but felt bad so thought I'd be nice and check in!" I reply to him.

"Friends that check in on friends...;)" He replies almost instantly.

I look at my screen in confusion, is HEro implying something else? I'm almost certain he is, I mean come on, I know who I'm talking to.

"I gotta say though, you are pretty average company" He double messages.

"Only average? I was on my best behaviour and that's all I get?" I reply back, almost biting my nails at how my risk texts will be received.

"Oh were you? Well I'm sure i can give you a better judgement next time?" He says. I smile at his reply and begin typing back and feel someone close behind me.

"Maya? Yes hi!" Julie says bringing me into a hug. I hug her back and put down my groceries to properly greet her.

"Hey Julie, what are you doing here?" I say warmly to, I guess I would say my closet girl friend here in London.

"The same as you daft one... shopping!" She says holding up her two large bags of groceries. We both laugh.

"Hey since your here, want to come grab a coffee next door?" She points to the small coffee shop next us.

"Of course, I need something to warm me up" I say picking up my groceries as she smiles back and walks first into the doors of the cafe. We sit down on the window sill and order two coffees to have inside in the warmth.
