INT. AMETHYST AND VALENTINA'S ROOM - NOON
Amethyst is doing yoga.
Valentina is laid back on her bed listening to music from her phone through one of her Apple Airpods while looking through a Teen Vogue magazine.
AMETHYST
Amethyst grabs her Macbook from het laptop bag. She opens it after laying down on her bed.
Who are you listening to?
Amethyst checks her email.
VALENTINA
Zening to some Selena.
Valentina is humming "Amor Prohibido" by Selena.
Amethyst receives a text on her Apple watch. She is ecstatic to see who sent her the message.
No way.
Amethyst replies with a voice message.
Skype me.
Amethyst sends her message and then turns her attention to Valentina.
Valentina, guess what?
VALENTINA
Valentina takes her Apple Airpod out of her ear.
What is it?
Valentina is still looking through her Teen Vogue magazine.
AMETHYST
You remember Dakota?
VALENTINA
Your cousin is someone to not forget. She is top cheer-lebrity around here.
AMETHYST
She just messaged me. At any second now, she should be facetiming me on Skype.
Dakota is facetiming Amethyst.
AMETHYST
Here she go now.
Amethyst gets up from her bed to go sit beside Valentina. Valentina sits up on her bed. Amethyst answers Dakota's call.
DAKOTA
Hello?
AMETHYST AND VALENTINA
Heyy.
DAKOTA
What are you cheetah girls up to?
AMETHYST
Not too long ago finished my daily yoga. 'Bout to get ready for the opening ceremony.
DAKOTA
Me too.
AMETHYST
What do you mean?
VALENTINA
I think it means she's here.
DAKOTA
Yes. Plus, I've been given the honor of being a judge at the competition. The cheer-lebrity judge as some people are saying.
VALENTINA
Congratulations.
AMETHYST
Periodt.
DAKOTA
Someone comes up behind Dakota and whispers in her ear.
Okay.
Dakota turns her attention back to Amethyst and Valentina.
That's my cue to go. Hopefully I'll see you two after the opening ceremony so we can catch up.
AMETHYST
Most definitely.
VALENTINA

DAKOTA
Dakota blows Amethyst and Valentina a goodbye kiss.
Mauh!
The Skype call ends.
AMETHYST
I guess that's our cue to get dressed and head on out.
Amethyst sets her Macbook on her nightstand, then gets her cheer uniform from her cheer bag. Valentina puts her Teen Vogue magazine on her nightstand, then gets her cheer uniform from her cheerleader bag. Amethyst is applying Vaseline on her body before putting on her uniform. Valentina lays her uniform on her bed so she can apply her Cheetah pendant onto it.
AMETHYST
After the ceremony, we get loose. Then, starting tomorrow mornings, claws out.
VALENTINA
Right. I'm ready to put Medusa and her snakes to shame.
Amethyst puts on her uniform.
Amethyst and Valentina have on their uniform. There's a knock at the door.
VALENTINA
Valentina answers the door.
Who is it?
It's Roman at the door along with other teammates.
ROMAN
Roman.
Valentina opens the door.
Ready to go?
VALENTINA
Been ready.
AMETHYST
Amethyst grabs her cheer jacket and room keys.
ROMAN
You smell good.
VALENTINA
Valentina flips her hair.
I know.
Amethyst comes to the door, then hands Valentina her room key.
AMETHYST
Off we go?
ROMAN
Cheetahs out.
Amethyst and Valentina leave with their teammates after Amethyst closes the door. The Cheetahs head to the opening ceremony.
