INT. SCENE 5: THE OPENING CEREMONY - AFTERNOON
SERIES OF SHOTS:
"Handclap" by Fitz And The Tantrums begins playing in the background.
A series of shots show The Cheetahs meeting up with other teammates and then continuing their way to the opening ceremony, within shots of other teams doing the same thing.
The Cheetahs have arrived to the auditorium where the opening ceremony is being held.
Amethyst and her squad enter the auditorium behind a team named "The Infernos".
The Cheetahs are sitting down in their assigned seats.
There are cheerleaders from a few teams on the performance mat chatting and stunting.
Coach Wendy walks onto the performance mat blowing a bullhorn. She is accompanied by Dakota and three other people.
The cheerleaders on the performance mat head to their seats.
COACH WENDY
Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to Camp Cheer-phoria.
Everyone applauds.
If this is your first time here, welcome to the Camp Cheer-phoria family. I am Wendy Belafonte and I'm the proud coach of the amazing Cheetahs.
The Cheetahs snap their fingers.
This upcoming competiton is a continuation of Cheer For Charity, where you will be competing for the chance to win a big cash reward to donate to the charity of your choice. The cash reward being a check for twenty thousand dollars.
Everyone cheers and applauds.
MORGAN
Morgan whispers to Lauren.
We got this.
LAUREN
Lauren nods at Morgan.
Morgan midfives Lauren. They flip their hair.
COACH WENDY
To reiterate, don't forget that there will be a poll going on where each of you get to vote on which celebrity you wish to be our special celebrity judge at the competition. I've casted my vote already. One more thing before we are delighted by a performance from last year's winners, I would like to introduce someone who will be one of the judges. She's a true cheer-lebrity, former Cobras cheerleader and captain.
Coach Wendy points at Dakota.
This lovely young lady right here, Miss Dakota.
Coach Wendy steps aside and applauds wity everyone as Dakota takes center stage.
DAKOTA
Thank you Coach Wendy. Hello everyone. I'm so honored to be here once again and to be your cheer-lebrity judge at this year's competition. I want you all to remember to cheer with grace, cheer with trust, and cheer with dignity. Nothing is more important than doing what you love and love what you're doing.
AMETHYST
Amethyst whispers to Valentina.
I know that's right.
DAKOTA
Now, introducing to you the high-spirited and fierce Cobras.
Everyone applauds as The Cobras head to the performance mat. The Cobras chant a cheer.
COBRAS FEMALE CHEERLEADERS
Cobras in the house.
COBRAS MALE CHEERLEADERS
That's right!
COBRAS FEMALE CHEERLEADERS
We 'bout to shut it down.
COBRAS MALE CHEERLEADERS
That's right!
COBRAS FEMALE CHEERLEADERS
Cobras in the house.

We 'bout to shut it down.
COBRAS CHEERLEADERS
Get loud!
The Cobras get into formation.
MORGAN
Five, six, seven, eight.
"Dance Floor" by Melissa Molinaro begins playing in the background.
The Cobras perform their routine.
The Cobras are done performancing. Everyone applauds.
DAKOTA
Dakota comes up beside Morgan.
That was an amazing performance. I've taught you guys well.
MORGAN
Yes you did and we would like to give you something to show how much we appreciate your entrustment in us.
A male teammate hands Morgan a crown.
MORGAN
Morgan holds the crown to Dakota.
We present to you this crown as our token of appreciation and that to all of us, you are our cheer queen.
DAKOTA
Aww.
Dakota takes the crown. She puts it on her head.
Words cannot describe how I feel right now. I am so proud of you for continuing my legacy of cheer excellence and I wish you the best of luck at the competition.
COACH WENDY
Coach Wendy comes up from behind Dakota and Morgan. She grabs the mic from Dakota.
Alright Camp Cheer-phoria family, it's time to get the ball rollin'.
Coach Wendy blows the bullhorn. Confetti falls down from the ceiling as a banner flips open saying, "Bring It On Or Go Home". The cheerleaders applaud and praise.
People start leaving the auditorium.
Dakota has a last minute chat with Morgan and Lauren before saying goodbye to them.
Dakota walks off the performance mat to meet up with Amethyst and Valentina.
