ashley finished running he brush through her hair for the umpteenth time. she was so paranoid to see the guy she had a date with that night.

calum, her best friend, was doing everything in his power to make everything good a perfect for her.

so he played matchmaker for her.

"again, calum, thank you so much for getting me this date with cody," she gushed slipping her jacket on.

"anything for you, ash," he smiled as he watched his best friend go the extra mile she didn't need to run.

time to get this shit show on the road.

cody was very attractive. blonde hair, green eyes. dimples like the river valleys. he was her definition of perfect.

they went out to a club, a small deal breaker for ashley since she was a major lightweight and didn't drink often, or really at all.

after the first hour, cody was drunk and knocked out on the couch and hadn't talked to ashley since they arrived at the club.

so, ashley being the sweetheart she is, brought cody back home.

cody threw up on her expensive dress and ruined her expensive shoes.

after her horrid night with cody, she took a cab to calum, where he had been waiting to hear about her date all night.

only to be shocked to see her covered in vomit.

she sobbed and sobbed into her best friend.

"look, he's an asshole for ditching you and puking all over you. now lets get your pretty self all cleaned up and into bed," calum offered.

ashley did as calum suggested. stripping off her dress and tossing it in the garbage(tearing up as she did so). taking her shoes and tossing them in the washing machine.

she slipped into one of calum's pants and a spare shirt he had nuzzling up into bed.

"i can always count on you to be my prince charming," she whispered before drifting off to a painful sleep.
