"Ay, Prof?"

"Morning Lucy. What is it?" he replied from behind the desk.

"I reckon it's time we track down this Jacob Smiths. 'E's the only one we 'ave left to question, and I think I may be on to something."

"Oh?" Alfendi turned away from the computer and folded his arms.

"Well," began Lucy slowly, "y'know how the body was found in the river?"

He narrowed his eyes, but answered patiently, "Yes."

"I get the feeling that maybe the river wasn't supposed to be a place to dispose of the body. Remember how the file said that the disposal seemed 'urried? And how the Thames flows too slowly to carry a body away, so the killer probably wasn't thinking straight when he chucked it, and maybe-"

The Prof sighed and stood up, looking mildly interested. "Get to the point already."

"Right. Well. I think that Justin went to the river to escape from London. It makes sense, everything he needed to get away from was in this place."

"Ok. There are a lot of gaps there Lucy."

"So question me. I'm sure I can fill them in."

"Firstly, how do you suggest he got away? He would need some method of transport."

"A boat. I can't say for certain, but surely there has to be some CCTV we can check? It was hardly in a low-profile area."

"I can look into that. You're assuming he had an accomplice then?"

"Ay. You said before, the hinges were scratched on the outside. I reckon someone got him out, and was going to help smuggle him out of London."

"And then what?"

"Something muy have gone wrong between the prison and the river."

"But what?"

"I haven't got that far yet."

"Well, I suppose it's a start."

"Ay. Once we've checked for CCTV, I'll look into whether he could have been broken out of the prison."

"Sounds like a plan."

"But first, Jacob. How do you think we should track him down."

"Well, as it so happens, a stranger with the name Smiths, matching Jacob's description, has been found by the Yard. You'll have to establish for sure whether or not it's him, but I'd say there's a fair chance it could be."

"Aight, I'll get right to it!"
