Nightmares

I walked through the burning forest. The flames burning the leaves to ash and then falling on my tangled hair. Smoke, everywhere. Dark Grey. The colour surrounded me that I couldn't even see where I was going.

A tree fell down in front of me. I could hear branches breaking and feel the warm smoke fill up my lungs.

I stopped just in time before it fell on top of me.

I heard someone yell out my name.

I turned around. I saw a dark figure walking slowly towards me.

"Where is Aal.. o...!"

I couldn't hear what he said. More screaming came from behind me.

I turned around sharply.

"Reia!"

I covered my mouth and screamed. It was my mother. She was half trapped under the fallen tree and was burning to death. And next to her was...

"Reia!"

I opened my eyes to find Timmy shaking me madly. I sat up straight quickly.

I was in a hospital bed. Everyone I knew was standing around me, looking concerned: My mum, Charles, Timmy... And two other doctors.

"What?" I asked bewildered. "Why am I here? Is someone hurt? Was there an accident?"

Timmy bit his bottom lip to stop himself from laughing - a brotherly, sisterly sort of habit, I do that too.

But why was he laughing? Nothing I said was funny. I wasn't the one who was injured . . . Oh, right. I'm in the hospital bed.

One of the doctors who wore big circular glasses cleared his throat.

"Your boyfriend found you unconscious in the middle of the forest".

My what? Wait are they saying...

I looked at Charles who had the same look on his face that I have.

"Woah!" I said throwing up my hands. "He is not my boyfriend."

"Calm down, honey", My mum said while gently putting my arms down. "You were just found knocked unconscious".

"Knocked unconscious?" I asked with surprise.

I never remember someone beating me up.

"It could have also been caused by fainting", explained the other doctor who had big piercing black eyes and blonde hair.

Well... That makes more sense. I just saw a naked man healing my stalker wolf. Why wouldn't I faint?

Charles looked blankly at me. Holding his hands and saying nothing. He knows what happened in the forest, and if he told them, it would make him sound totally crazy.

"Well," my mum said. "It could have been the heat. It has been very warm recently".

I clung onto her words.
