I was sitting in my room, almost content. Then Ms. Penula came into my room, a glum look on her face. I looked up at her feeling concerned. My face must have shown because she sat down next to me and hugged me, she said, "I'm so sorry! I don't want to send you away!!" She said sobbing. She was by far my best foster hotel keeper, and now I have to leave. AGAIN! I cried and cried and cried and she cried too hugging each other, she was like a mother to me. I asked in between sobs, "well...(sob).. Can't you just...(violent sobs)... Adopt me?" "I wish it were that simple." She sobbed back. I started sobbing violently and I asked, "Why doesn't anybody love me?!?! Want me?!?! Care about me?!?!!!!!" Ms. Penula said she would give me a minute to freshen up then to buzz the front lobby to send a bell hop. Then she left my room. I went into my bathroom and washed my face and packed my few belongings. Then I packed my "carry on" bag which consisted my favorite things. My stuffed bear I got from my original mother I was told and my journal. I don't have much, but as long as I have those two things I will live. I was finally fully packed so I walked to my door and buzzed the buzzer, through the speaker I heard Bobby's voice "How can I help you Ms. Alyssa?" "I need bell hop service please." I said. "Leaving so soon?" He questioned. "Yes." I answered quickly, then I stopped pushing the button so I wouldn't hear the rest, he knew what he needed to know and his job is front office worker, not councelour. I grabbed my things and waited for someone to knock on my door. *Knock knock* I opened the door to see Jared. I never peticuarly talked to him while I stayed so he quietly took my bags and loaded them on the cart and pushed the elevator button down. "I'll be down in a minute." He nodded. I walked into my room looking at all of the cool modern furniture I would say goodbye to. I walked back out, pressed the down button on the elevator and was greeted by a man in a green suit, with a creepy grin, he motioned me into the silver car that looked really nice. I hugged Ms. Penula one last time and she whispers in my ear, "If you ever need me, call me" I felt a small piece of paper go into my front pocket and I smiled. "Only emergencies" she said. "Thank you so much." I replied, and the green suit man opened the backseat and I sat down, and looked out the window. I took out my poem journal and turned to a clean page.

"I thought I could finally be content,

With Ms. Penula by my side,

But she told me I have to go but we don't know where I'm being sent,

All I know is it will be a long ride.

I hope where I'm going will be just as nice,

Maybe somebody will adopt me,

I hope they aren't cold as ice,

Oh I hope this new place won't be filthy!" -Alyssa C.
