It has been a week since me and Matt kissed. It felt like everything changed.
He was coming over to our apartment tonight to watch a movie. I was excited and wanted everything to be perfect. I franticly cleaned our apartment. Try living with a teenage boy. Speaking of Cam, he isn’t going out tonight so I hope he doesn’t bother us.
A nock came from the door, I opened it. Matt arrived at 8:00 with blankets piled high in his arms. He was wearing a purple t-shirt with gray sweats. I was wearing loose yoga pants and a light green tank-top. My long blond hair was tired in a messy bun. I didn’t feel like looking nice or even bother to put makeup before he came because tonight was just the two of us.
I welcomed him in. I popped some popcorn in the kitchen while Matt went over to the couch to look for a movie. “How about the notebook?” he asked from across the room. I replied, still in the kitchen, “You might be surprised, me being a girl, I haven’t seen it yet.”
Matt put the movie into the DVD played and started the movie.
I took a seat on the couch, with popcorn in one hand, next to Matt while sharing the same blanket. He put his arm around my shoulder and I nuzzled up close to his chest. Whoa, did he smell good. Matt doesn’t wear cologne often, but I still love his natural smell.
The movie ended and hour and a half later. I looked at matt who was peacefully sleeping. His arm was still around me which I thought was the sweetest thing. His hair was all messed up. But I had to wake him up sometime. I whispered in his ear joking, “The movie wasn’t that boring was it?” he opened his eyes and smiled at me.
It was late, Matt got his belongings together. He gave me a tight hug. “Thanks a lot for tonight, it was really great seeing you again.” With a gentle kiss on the check he was gone. I wish he didn’t leave.
Later that night we texted for hours until it were close to three in the morning. We talked about pointless things and also things he told me about him that he hasn’t told anyone else before. He made me feel special.
