9:00 the next day.
Cam had a meet and great in Florida so that meant we had to fly there. I tagged along of course. I loved traveling, nothing felt better than seeing new places and meeting new people.
A man named Jason came to pick us up to dive us to the airport. Jason was Cam’s “body” guard; I guess you would call him that. A huge man he was.
When we arrived at the airport I glanced around hoping to see familiar faces since all of Magcon was going. I saw Shawn, he was one of my closest friends, we haven’t talked in while though because he is busy meeting his fans all across the country. I ran over to him, almost trampling people as I passed by. I dropped my bags and gave Shawn a big huge. He lifted me off my feet and spun me once before letting go and putting me back on the ground. People around us were giving us weird looks because we might have made a huge scene with me running halfway across the airport. But, I missed him so much, I didn’t care. “I have so much to tell you”, I stammered. “Same he replied”.
Sadly, Matt was no were to be seen. I looked around. It would be bad if he missed his flight. But just with that thought, I felt a tap on my right shoulder.
Matt embraced me from behind. “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on, what, when did this happen? Okay I know I wasn’t gone for that long.” Shawn asked waiting for answer. “A couple weeks ago, when I first saw her I knew she was the one for me.” Matt explained. I tilted my head to look up at him, and smiled. My hands held his which were wrapped around my stomach. “Really, it has only been a few weeks? It feels like so much longer.” I said. Matt added, “Time flies, I guess.”
Over the crowd of people in the airport I saw Cam who was walking out of one of the airport’s restaurants, Taco bell, his favorite. Our eyes meet and he headed toward us. When Cam finally came over, he greeted Matt and Shawn with their little handshake they made up when they were younger. Matt picked up my bags I forgot about when I hugged Shawn and put it next to a chair.
We all sat around talking about random stuff for the next 20 minutes, waiting for the time to past, till our plane would leave for Florida.
An announcer at the desk called our flight for departure at 10:00. Matt carried my bags as well as his own. We boarded the plane with no problem. Thankfully we had first class seats. Matt put our bags above our seats in the storage cubbies. Matt and I sat together with Cam and Shawn across the row. He chooses the window seat and I positioned myself next to him, with an empty seat to the left of me. TV Screens were set into the seats in front of us, nothing good was playing so we talked until the plane was about to take off.
Our plane started to move down the runway. Out of instinct, I reached for his hand which was on his lap. Flying wasn’t something I did often so I had to admit I was a little scared. Matt noticed my expression. “You don’t like flying, do you? It takes a long time to get used to the feeling, trust me. Hear this will help,” He handed me some mint gum to help with the air pressure. “Thanks. And no, I hate flying. I feel unsafe up in the air. I don’t know how you can do this so much.” He gave me a little squeeze and looked out the window.
The other boys from Magcon took an earlier flight to Florida. That’s why it was only Cam, Shawn, and Matt on this flight. My three favorites.
The plane started to speed up. I wanted to get off. But I just held his hand tight. The wheels were of the ground and we were flying. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. “How was it”, Matt asked. “Way better than I imagined”, I supposed. “That’s great to hear”, he replied.
“You little love birds done yet? I kind of want to enjoy this plane ride than see my sister getting all mushy with my best friend” Cam said with a laugh. Shawn couldn’t help to laugh too. I had to admit it was a little funny. But I gave him a stare of disgust and rolled my eyes.
“We aren’t getting mushy”, I answered.“Ignore them,” Matt responded. “Oh, believe me I do it enough at home.” I said with a half-smile.
Hours passed by slowly before our plane finally landed. It takes about 5 hours to fly from California to Florida direct flight. Sleep normally makes the time go by faster, so I sleep about half of the time and the other time I talked to Shawn, Cam, and Matt. Who was mostly either tweeting or snapchatting to their fans.
We all walked off the plane together. Eager fans actually showed up to meet them. I guess they shouldn’t tweet so much I thought. I was begging that they wouldn’t cause any chaos like last time. Merchandise was signed, photos were taken, and a lot of crying. I got pictures taken too. I guess that’s the props of being Cam’s younger sister. But, obviously he was more important to them. Once the boys were finished we went to the restroom and left.
