Chapter Five: Runaway's

''Why are we here?'' Lexi asked being walked upstairs.

The two made it to the top. Someone was standing at the window, looking down at the car.''Oh, I'm sorry. I Didn't know someone was here..'' Lexi said ''We're gonna leave''

The person turned, Sutton flashed her light on the person's face.

'Hi Lex... Did you miss me?'

Lexi's face dropped. Her heart pounded. 'Is this real? Is that really you?' Lexi asked, seeing Jake's face.

There was silence for a moment. Lexi, stood staring into Jake's green eyes. ''Are you real?''

He walked closer, 'It's really me. Hey Lex' Jake said, watching Lexi run and jump into his arms. She started crying as their arms locked, and their lips touched. ''I thought you were dead!'' She screamed, and cried.

''It's okay. I'm alive. I'm okay'' Jake said unlatching from the hug. ''Listen, we need to talk'' Jake said walking to a table with Lexi. ''Sit''

The two sat, with Sutton. ''I need to tell you everything. No more secrets, or lies. No more running.''

'What?' Lexi asked

'Remember when I kicked Brynn out, and I was a complete douche bag'

'Ya, why? Why does that matter now' Lexi said

''Because, it started when we received a box, I was under this persons watch, if I didn't do what they said, than you and the twins would suffer. That's why I kicked Brynn out, and treated everyone bad'' Jake said

''I forgive you Jake'' Lexi said

''I know, I knew you would. But listen, The reason I haven't been around is because I was under cover with Officer Clueless and Chloe. They knew the whole time and they hid me from whoever was doing this to us. I wanted to figure out who was hunting us'' Jake said

''Who was it?'' Lexi asked ''Did you find out?''

''Sadly, no. But we were close, until Katie was found'' Jake said 'We were literally so close to finding this person, than the news broke Katie was alive''

'Oh god, Are we in danger? Please don't leave me again. If you do leave, take me with you!' Lexi said

'Lex, it's too dangerous for you to be with me right now' Jake said

''You are not leaving me again! I'll run with you. I love you'' Lexi cried ''It's our two year anniversary too''

''I know, that's why I got Katie to tell you, so Sutton would be smart enough to piece together that I was here waiting for you'' Jake said 'I wanted to call so many times, I just couldnt'

''I understand, I'm just happy you're here''

'Me too' Jake said hugging Lexi tight.

'I love you more than anything'

'So do i' Lexi said, holding his hand

There was a loud bang downstairs. ''Shhh'' Jake said pulling Lexi to the ground, and crawling under a table, He pulled a gun out from his shoe.

''Really?'' Lexi whispered

'Protection!' Jake whispered back, aiming it at the stair case. Whoever was coming up, wasn't gonna mess around.

The lights turned on, ''Hello? Announce yourself, Partner, are you here?'' A man said

Jake stood, raising the gun. ''Ben?'' He asked

'Jake?' Ben asked 'You're alive?'

Jake shot the gun, shooting ben in the arm, knocking him down. ''Sutton, get him!'' Jake yelled as they ran towards him. Jake tackled him and put his arms behind his back. ''I know you tried to kill me, and my family'' Jake said

''Man, i'm sorry'' Ben said

''Sutton, deal with this thing. Make sure he doesn't cause any trouble'' Jake said, watching her take Ben down stairs.

''How are the twins?'' Jake asked

'They miss you, like no other' Lexi said 'We all do'

'I missed you all' Jake said hugging her again.

''Let's go home. Please'' Lexi said

''No, it isn't safe'' Jake said

'I don't care, just come back. Whoever is doing this, we will take him down together, like you said, no more running'' Lexi said

'Alright, Let's go' Jake said taking Lexi's hand and leaving the café

They arrived at Brynn's house at 6am

''Lex? Is that you?' Brynn called

''I brought a friend'' Lexi said 'One you all know'

Brynn came into the room, and saw Jake. Her eyes lit up, she went running and hugged him tight. ''Your alive!'' She cried in happiness 'Ahh!'

'Nice to see you to-'' Jake started but saw Piper.

He let go of Brynn and ran to Piper, hugging her tight. ''Hey!''

'Oh my god, Jake!' Piper smiled, hugging him tight 'I missed you so much'

'I missed you all too' Jake said letting go of Piper, 'Now listen, I have a few tasers for everyone, to be safe! Understand?''

''Yep'' Everyone said

A few moments later, the power went off, and Jake could hear someone upstairs. ''Follow me'' Jake said to Lexi, the two went upstairs, being aware. They made it to the top step, ''Wait here'' Jake said to Lexi while we walked around going room to room.

'Find anything?' Lexi asked, She heard foot prints coming closer to her. 'Babe?'

She saw a figure running at her. All she heard was her scream, before being kicked in the stomach, and thrown down the stairs. 'Jake!' She screamed, before hitting the bottom. Jake came running out of the room he was in, and ran for the stairs. He saw the person running down the stairs. Brynn blocked the door. Jake ran and jumped from the top stairs, attacking the person.

'WHO ARE YOU!' He yelled

'So this is how it ends' The person with the voice control said

Jake ripped off the mask the person wore. ''What the hell?'' Jake asked shocked

''It's been you all along?'' Lexi asked

''Why?'' Brynn asked

The power kicked back on. ''I'm calling the cops'' Piper said

An hour passed, Jake, Piper, Lexi, Sutton and Brynn gathered around looking into the interrogation room.

A door opened a doctor walked in, ''Doctor Sully?'' Piper asked 'I thought you were transferred'

''I was'' Sully said ''but I was called in for this case''

''I cant believe she did this, to us.'' Lexi said 'I never would have guessed this'

'No one did' Sutton said

''I know you're watching, They think it's over, Loser Steph is going to the nut house and those precious bitches are going home to sleep with their windows open, and their doors unlocked. Don't they know its what I want?'' Stephanie thought.

''Stephanie will be brought down for this. I assure you'' Dr. Sully said

Jake took Lexi and hugged her, Piper and Sutton felt uneasy, as they watched a wicked and evil smile appear over Steph's face.
