Fairy Tail: Unbearable Truth

"Ahh, this must be it!" Natsu shouted.

He kicked the large doors open and flamed.

"Be careful!" Lucy said.

"Yeah, yeah." Natsu came out screaming with joy. "Look who I found!" He raised Lily in the air, skipping.

"Put me down already." He said embarrassed.

"Carla and Happy aren't in there?!" Lucy asked.

"No... They were taken some place else." He fell into this knees. "I couldn't protect them... I'm weak..." Lily said.

Rielle knelt down and took off her mask.

Never before, she would take off her mask, exposing her face. The scar that symbolizes triumph and defeat.

"Being weak is only natural." She spoke. "As long as you don't give up, your not weak."

Lily stood back on his two paws and looked up at Rielle. "Thank you."

Lucy became weary and looked over to Natsu, seeing him slightly smiling.

She was good with others, even if she was suffering the most.

Lucy went over and embraced him.

"Lu-"

"Don't move, can we stay like this for a while?" Lucy questioned. "Sure." Natsu replied.

Tears began to rain, one by one, out of her eyes. Natsu didn't know if it was tears of joy, or depression.

On the way, Rielle talked to Lily.

"Mystogen, the edolas version of Jellal, yes I knew both of them.

"He was my partner. Only until I wanted to disappear for a while." Rielle said.

Lucy became tired and yawned.

"Sleepy?" Natsu asked.

Lucy nodded her head and smiled. Natsu was able to express his feelings more without hesitating, same goes for Lucy. They were closer then ever since, they both confessed. The more nervous they got, it was the mundane feeling that could never go away.

"We must look for Carla and Happy." Natsu pointed out.

"Do you have any idea of where they might be?" Natsu asked Lily.

"No... I was separated from them before we could communicate." Lily said feeling guilty and regretful.

Rielle spoke. "It's like a game." She announced. "There were maps in the shed." She explained. "We're following the instructions of these papers, we are the game pieces."

"So like a treasure hunt?" Lucy asked.

"That's sick.." Natsu sneered.

"Anyway, we have to find them." Lily Panther hinted. He started to sneeze and felt exhausted.

"If your tired, we can rest-"

"No.. Keep going we have to find-"

Rielle hit the back of his neck and knocked him out.

"Hitting people by there necks to knock them out does not solve any problems!" Natsu raged. Having experiences from way back.

Lucy carried Lily in her arms, cradling him like an infant.

"Ugh... Rielle try not to-"

Rielle slapped Natsu's mouth and shoved both Lucy and Natsu back.

"Hey-" at the corner of their eyes. A bullet pierced through her mask, entering deep through.

Rielle collapsed on the rocks and pebbles, silently and crimson leaked from her.

Her mask was broken in half and they started to panic.

"Rielle!"Natsu shouted and ran dashed towards her however shots were still firing.

"Lucy! Stay down!" Natsu demanded.

"Okay-ah!" Lucy held Lily in, protecting him.

Natsu used his magic to create and smoke of fog, so that they could counter.

Natsu sped into the air and found the snipers.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Defeating the two snipers, beating on them, he went back down to Rielle, witnessing Lucy stopping the blood from coming out.

"Natsu!" Lucy cried, wanting the blood to stop.

"Lucy.. Don't worry, she's doesn't go down that easily."

"But the bullet went into-"

Rielle coughed and sat up. "Ow." She said shaking her head. She then spit out the bullet.

"Can't believe they still make these kinds of ammo..." Rielle said.

"She's a Death Dragon Slayer. Dark magic to explain it better." Natsu revealed.

"Dark-k Magic..? Like Zeref..?" Lucy trembled.

Natsu fell silent and turned his back.

"Natsu. You promised you wouldn't say a word." Rielle barked.

"It's not my fault that you were cursed." His attitude and tone changed, frightening Lucy.

"Do you hate me?" Rielle questioned while fixing the mask on her face. By the feel of it, it felt like she wanted to say more. 

"No..." He answered. "I could never."

"What if I told you something that would make you angry... Would you hate me then?"
