While Sans and I are walking through Waterfall, we see Undyne on her daily patrol. She sees us. "HEY GUYS, HAVE YOU SEEN PAPYRUS? HE'S NEVER LATE." Sans shouts back "HE'S NOT FEELING THAT GREAT. HE'S NOT COMING TODAY." Undyne then says "CAN YOU GUYS COME OVER TO MY HOUSE?" We walk over and she leads the way.

She gestures for us to sit at the table. "SO, HOW'S YOUR ARM?" She asks Sans. "It's fine, I have a question. Do you know anything about why Paps is acting so... negative lately?" She sits silent for a few seconds and gets up. She starts making tea. He glances at me and I smile reassuringly.

Undyne comes back with the tea. "WELL, PAPYRUS IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY AND HE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD TO YOU, RIGHT SANS? MORE IMPORTANT THAN Y/N?"

He replies genuinely "Of course! Sure, I love Button and all, but nobody could ever replace Papyrus. He's always been there for me anyways." Sans looks upset, like he's remembering something. "Even if he doesn't remember," He whispers. A darkness seems to fill the room, but it quickly goes away. Undyne says "ALRIGHT THEN," and we continue to have a small chat.

Soon, we leave Undyne's house and decide to go visit Alphys as well. She sees us. "O-oh, Hey g-guys! I've b-been meaning t-to ask you something, S-Sans." Sans nods and says "Ask away." Alphys takes a deep breath. "P-promise you won't f-freak out?" Sans nods.

"W-well, P-Papyrus came in l-last night, escorted by U-Undyne, and he..." She looks at the floor. "He h-had cuts o-on his a-arm c-consistent with c-cutting himself, and I t-think that if U-Undyne hadn't been there, h-he would'nt have c-come to g-get healed..."

Sans' eye sockets go black and mine widen. His eye starts glowing. He's clutching his head and says "Nonono, this can't be happening, not him too, he can't turn out like me..." I give him some space. After all, even if he doesn't know it, I'm the cause of this. It feels like a chunk of my soul just shattered. Papyrus can't be suicidal, he has so much to live for, right?

When we get home, Papyrus and Frisk aren't home yet. Sans sits on the couch and starts sobbing again. "N-not him t-too... I can't l-lose another..." he keeps muttering. I want to know what he means.

"Sans, why do you keep saying things like not again, or I can't lose anyone else? Have you lost someone before?" He sighs and nods. "My dad," He says. "He got swallowed by the core and is stuck in the void. He can visit from time to time, but it's not the same." I felt a dark presence enter the room. "Hello, Son and Glamour."

A melting, deformed skeleton appears before us. "Glamour?" I ask. He nods. "The font you speak in is what i'll address you as, which is Glamour. You can call me Gaster." I nod.

Sans is still upset. "It'll be okay, son. He'll realize and be able to understand how you feel about Ms. Glamour and will soon realize that he's still your top priority." Gaster gives Sans a reassuring pat on the back and smiles warmly at me. The door starts to open. "That's my cue. Good luck!" He then disappeared.

Papyrus walks in with Frisk. He's laughing and looks really happy. Gaster said that he'd be able to understand how Sans felt so... does he like Frisk!?!

As soon as Papyrus turns forward, Sans tackles him into a hug. "Don't ever scare me like that again, Paps. Why would you hurt yourself like that. You're the person I care the most about in this world! What would I do without you?" Sans is now crying, and Papyrus looks really sad.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking clearly. But brother, do you love me more than Y/n?" His voice is very hushed. It's strange. Sans responds "Of course, nobody could EVER replace you. Button knows that I still love you more." I smile, showing Papyrus that it's perfectly fine. Papyrus breathes in relief. He clears his throat. "WELL THEN, I'M SORRY! FRISK AND I ARE GOING TO MAKE SPAGHETTI TOGETHER!" Sans looks a lot happier now, as does Papyrus.

"Hey Sansy, did you hear the way Papyrus said together?" Sans grins. "Yeah, I think he might have a thing for Frisk." I laugh. "Yeah, maybe that's what Gaster meant." I think for a second, then say "You know, we never visited Alphys to see why I turned into a monster." Sans says "We don't have to, I've got a theory that I think is right. Besides, I used to be a scientist."
"Tell me."

"So, you know how you regrew the soul? Well, your first trait was love, right? That's a monster's core soul trait, and due to a number of complicated variables, including the amount of time you spent around me and Papyrus, you turned into a monster. A skeleton, to be precise."
"What other variables?" Sans raises a bone brow and pulls out a huge chart.
"You know what? Never mind, I think I'm fine. That's a pretty good theory."

Sans and I were cuddling and watching some TV when Papyrus said "SPAGHETTI'S READY!" Almost in his usual, bubbly, loud voice. He's almost back to normal. I'm very thankful that Frisk fell. If they didn't, I don't know what would become if Papyrus.

I had to give Sans a piggyback ride to the kitchen since he was to lazy to get up. "Hey Paps, what does a clock do when it's hungry?" Papyrus glares at him. "DON'T." "It goes back," Papyrus glares harder. "SANS, I WILL HARM YOU."
"Four," Papyrus looks like his skull is going to pop off. "SANS!!!"
"Seconds!"
"NYEEEEHHHH! DINNER IS RUINED!"
"Hey Frisk, whaddya call a fake noodle?"
They grin, and ask "What?"
"An IMPASTA!"
"NYEEHHHHH!!!!"
And it went on like that until Papyrus slammed a heap of extra spaghetti on Sans' plate.

It was good that everything was back to normal.
