A/N: Hello everyone!

So this is my second published story. I hope this turns out the way I expect it to be, or just turn out good, please.

Note: Ron's rat, Scabbers, is just an ordinary rat.

"Come on, i'm sure Scabbers is just around here somewhere!" Says Ron Weasley with his messy red hair and a visible frown on his freckled face.

He had just dragged his two best friends, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, in a hot afternoon only for one reason. He lost his rodent and they're going to help him find his pet.

They were running across through the wide corridors or Hogwarts when Hermione stopped in her tracks, and the other two paused.

"Why am I involved in this again?" Hermione protested, hands on her waist.

A minute ago, she was alone at the library, reading peacefully a new article about potions and charms. Now, she's running all around Hogwarts to help find Ron's lost rodent. Her hair had already been a bushy mess since she left the library.

"Ron's rat got lost, Hermione, and we reckon it's best for the three of us to search for it for a better chance of luck." Harry stated, eyes shining in adventure spirit. This dark-haired boy really has a heap of optimism in his body.

"Oh, okay." Hermione sighed.

The Gryffindor trio had just searched the serene library, walked past the boy's bathroom, and now they are in the forbidden and unused girl's bathroom. There they were greeted by the ghost residing that area, the sad and quite sensitive, Moaning Myrtle.

"Hello, Harry." Myrtle said in a tone that made Harry cringed his shoulders a little bit. She waved her hand at Harry, not minding the other two beside him.

"Hi, Moaning Myrtle." Replied Harry, waving at her.

"What made you visit me, huh Harry?" The ghost flew all around Harry, ignoring the other two present. Ron rolled his eyes.

"Actually, we're looking for Ron's pet, his pet rat. Have you seen it somewhere?"

"Oh, a rat? No no, why would a rat be wondering in the girl's bathroom?" Myrtle replied.

The red-headed Ron, losing his patience and suddenly becoming aware of the time they were wasting, said, "That's why we're searching everywhere, even in here, because my rat's--"

Ron was cut off midsentence when Myrtle shrilled, "I'm not talking to you!!!"

Hermione rolled off her eyes, both arms crossed infront of her chest as Ron almost tripped from the rage of the female ghost. His face all pale and suddenly forgot how to speak.

"I'll take it from here, Ron," Harry said while Ron nodded, "Is that so? Well, we better be on our way, Myrtle. Please tell us if you've seen a rat here in the girl's bathroom."

"Oh, anything for you, Harry." Myrtle said as she gave Harry a farewell wave but gave Ron a death glare.

Then she continued to fly to the toilet bowl.

"Thank you," Harry said then looked at his friends, "Now where are we?"

"Looking for Ron's rat?" Replied Hermione sarcastically. "What have you done that made you lost your rat, Ron?"

"Hey, it's not my fault! Maybe, your furry little beast ate my poor Scabbers." Ron exclaimed, his face turning ill.

"How dare you call my--" Hermione almost released her fury when Ron called her pet cat a 'beast', but fortunately, Harry immediately went between them.

"I think it's probably best if we separate ways to find Ron's rat faster, than when we're all together looking at the same location." Harry suggested, trying to mediate between the two.

"Yeah, Harry's right," said Ron, who just stomped his feet heavily away from the others, "I'm gonna be at the dining area, far FAR AWAY from someone who's mental!"

Before Hermione could even reply a furious statement, Harry held her shoulder and said, "Don't mind Ron, he's just worried about Scabbers."

"I'm terribly sorry, Harry, I just snapped after he called my Crookshanks a beast!" Hermione sighed and gave her friend a weak smile.

"I'm gonna be looking near Hagrid's place while you--"

"I'll go look at the field, there's also a possibility that Scabbers might be lost in there, too." Hermione cut off Harry, and they both and their ways out of the girl's bathroom.

That's it!

The first chapter has already met it's end! I know it's really short but I hope the next chapters won't be as short as this one ( I'll try my best!)

What's going to happen while Hermione's searching for her friend's rat?
